It looks new - to help fit in with the rest of the colour scheme across ITV news.

I would have worded it “ITV ‘Breaking’ News” though, personally.

Personally I'd have made the 'breaking news' more prominent, possibly in bold, with the ITV News smaller and at the bottom.

Also, while I understand the blue fits in with the colour scheme, but I think the red is better for breaking news, as it catches your attention and says "stop what you're doing and read this - it's important". Having said that, I do think they over use it.
I asked a while back about ITV and NBC’s news share agreement and someone said that it ended. I am curious as to what happened as NBC had two reports this week that had taken footage from ITV shows that were clean feeds - no bugs or burnt in graphics.
You expect the news to move around and be shortened during the Euros, which it does, but on Tuesday ITV have no evening news at all, running coverage of the 5pm kick-off from 4.00-7.10pm then having 50 minutes build up to France v Germany which kicks off at 8.00pm.

With Royal Ascot the Lunchtime News is at 1pm and News at Ten at 10.20pm, with local news for 10 minutes at 1.20pm and then scheduled in a 20 minute slot at 10.50pm. I'd have thought they'd at least have put half an hour of news in at 4pm, or squeezed a short bulletin in between 7.10pm and 7.30pm. We've seen them skip the teatimes bulletins at the weekend before, but I'm not sure they have on weekdays.
I assume ITV News has met or exceeded this year's quota for news so can somewhat get away with it. Channel 4 have cut some editions of Channel 4 News to half an hour to make way a few programmes at 7.30pm so clearly Ofcom don't have an issue with either not having news on certain days during the Euros.
The quota isn’t that tight that they can’t miss one bulletin in a year

They've wheeled out that desk again (is the light wood floor really necessary?)
Every time I see that desk, I just think of one of those stands in a supermarket which have someone giving away free bitesize samples of promoted lines. 8-)
On today's Lunchtime News, the CA started talking about the ITV Hub Drama vs Reality over the top of Sangita Lal talking about the new Met report. I'm watching on ITV+1 (forgot it was on at 1 today), did anyone notice if this happened on the original broadcast?

EDIT: It must've been on the original as Nina referenced it while signing off.

It must've as Nina made an apology at the end of the bulletin. I don't think it affected STV - I certainly didn't notice an issue when I was watching.
Liked that shot coming out of the break on News at Ten(20), full-screen view of the "screen" on Bradby's right, camera pulls back to reveal a wide shot of the studio. Not seen that before, they generally just go for a generic wide shot of the studio.
Agreed, really nice shot. A bit 'GMB'. Seems that they were being a lot more adventurous in general with the camera shots tonight. Although I'm not a regular viewer, so not sure if that's a new thing.
It's not new, although previously they have used it to include a longer pan shot for a slightly extended closing sequence.
