Another show to add to Wolf's presenting collection, he's on the 9pm CNN Tonight slot this week.

Holmes is also a part of Don Lemon's hours.
CNN+ have announced their launch content. Key bit is 8-12 hours of live content and 1000 hours of on demand content. I see just looking through here that The Global Brief and Amanpour that airs on CNN International is also going to be on CNN+.

I like it. Its being used on all CNN sets. Even a version on the CNN Newsroom set in NYC. The entire back wall its red with the breaking news graphic. Im sure as this invasion become protracted. We will see a special Invasion branding rolled our and the backgrounds will be rolled out.

Seeing that Amanpour is listed as airing weekly, guessing (unless she's doing something new for CNN+) that it'll feature the 'best bits' from her CNNI/PBS program.

As for The Global Brief, it'll be really interesting to see whether CNN+ will merely simulcast the CNNI program or whether Bianca Nobillo will do a separate version for the new streaming service.

I hope "The Global Brief" would be a simulcast, in theory, that would mean they'd be less able to drop the programme off CNNI for US simulcast, or always have a way to air it , like how Amanpour can be watched on PBS later, even if CNN I had to drop out.
Dylan Byers reporting that Chris Licht, current Executive Producer of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and formerly of Morning Joe and CBS This Morning, will be the next President of CNN Worldwide (and Warner Bros. Discovery Head of News):

Licht is a good choice, I loved his version of CBS This Morning, I don't watch the Late Show . I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but I hope he does a good job with CNN and it's networks , hopefully a good focus on news and international news on CNN I. He's at least won't be worse head than Zucker.
Michael Holmes has been anchoring 5 hour blocks during the overnight US hours, with short interludes by Vause, Church, and Soares at the end of the hour. Quite impressive since I don’t think he’s had a day off since he got to Ukraine. Anderson Cooper has replaced Erin Burnett in the field as well.

Are Connect the World through the Global Brief airing or are they simulcasting CNN US? I’m not able to tune in to see CNNI’s breaking news coverage.

Neither Connect The World and The Global Brief have aired during the invasion though we did get a longer opt out period yesterday from 4pm-5pm UK time with Becky and Julia Chatterley anchoring for International. Amanpour has continued to air everyday as well.
Hala and Quest also off air. I guess Alisyn and Victor are just much more qualified for international news stories. Idea :?: :ugeek:

Yes, they did great.
CNN+ to cost $2.99 a month, according to the LA Times.
The article also mentions:
  • Due to launch in the last week of March
  • 5 daily live shows
  • Wolf’s programme will be after The Situation Room and will only last 22 minutes
  • News programmes will only be available to view for 24 hours

https://twitter.com/stevebattaglio/statu...25857?s=21
There's a caveat to the $2.99 per month price though. According to Variety, it'll only be available to those who sign up for CNN+ in its first four weeks. After the launch promotion ends, the 'regular' price for the service will be $5.99 per month. Having said that, the LA Times article Francis linked to does mention that other pricing options (namely a cheaper ad-supported tier and a CNN+/HBO Max bundle) will be available down the track.

As for the 24 hour availability for news programs, it makes sense if CNN+'s definition of 'news program' is limited to programs such as Wolf Blitzer's newscast. If its broader though and encompasses other programs such as Chris Wallace's interview program, that will be an issue for the service in making it hard for subscribers.
