Have to say of the US Newsroom hours we get on CNNI Pamela Brown editions seem to be some of the better ones. They are filled with content and Pamela is far less in-your-face and therefore more watchable than some Domestic anchors.

That’s interesting, I guess they see value being in studio with DC guests rather than being in the same studio as their co-anchor. If that’s the case I hope they block the DC studio to feel like an extension of NY and not an afterthought.

Also subtle note, the background graphics look slightly tweaked, might we see a new graphics package on Monday?

I'd also noticed they've a less colourful flooring, unless the lighting is off? We have yet to hear a James Earl Jones intro for Boris Sanchez so I wonder whether it will launch tomorrow for Brianna's arrival.

I can't say I'm a fan of it being co-presented from New York and Washington. Berman and Camerota worked so well in part to their banter and chemistry and more so when in the same studio, and Cuomo before Berman. We've had to put up with anchors being separated due to the pandemic, and it's long overdue everyone got back to their studios.

Wouldn't be surprised...saw an interrupted but new CNN International ident yesterday.
Not a fan of shows being co-anchored from different places, permanently, which seems to be the new trend on CNN US. First with Poppy and Sciutto, and now with the New Day team. I would guess the weekend edition will be like that as well since moving from DC to Atlanta doesn't seem to be in vogue.

CNNI doesn't really have any double anchored shows anymore so it's not an issue, but then again it barely has anything so.....

I would say Your World Today is a double-anchored show when it was on pre-pandemic but I have strong doubts over whether it will return. Long before stuff like QMB and other flagship primetime CNNI shows was being dumped without warning for another Domestic simulcast it was more of a surprise if you got a full week of YWT with Cyril & Isa without Situation Room airing in its place at some point.

I'm slightly surprised that they didn't just get Amara Walker to replace Viktor Blackwell on Weekend New Day - she's covered on there many times previously and is based in Atlanta whereas I believe Boris Sanchez isn't. From the brief bits I've seen of Boris anchoring too Amara is by far the stronger anchor. I'm all for an anchor being straight-laced but Boris seems nondescript.
They seem desperate to turn any DC based reporter into an anchor, while the actual presenter talent they have is wasted.
New Day has not only welcomed its new host this morning in Brianna Keilar but a new set of on screen graphics, titles and music. Almost looks like a brand new show. Great moves so far today.
I like it, too. The weather bar is gone, though.
The graphics are very Tegna-ish

Clarissa Ward on New Day was credited as "Senior International Correspondent". Was this just because it was a CNN Domestic program or has the Chief International Role been removed?

CNN are renowned for generating the wrong chyrons. She remains Chief International Correspondent across both networks.
They brought one of Brianna's segments from her old Newsroom block with her. I really get the whole "let's talk about other cable news channels" thing instead of just doing the news or something, Fox News Channel does it and it's bad when they do it too.

Also, Newscast Studio has a nice "supercut" of the new look.
