As told earlier, CNN Portugal is actually a rename of TVI24, after TVI’s news department, led by former SIC professionals, struck an exclusive news channel affiliation deal with CNN International Commercial, however, it is set to be much bigger than its actual state, so that might explain the recruitment process. TVI’s news department has taken a more serious, middle-market approach under these former SIC professionals, led by the founding director of competitor SIC Notícias, Anselmo Crespo, and former SIC anchor Pedro Mourinho, which acts as editor in chief, with improved presentation and new programmes, including a GMB-style breakfast programme. TVI24’s ratings have increased in these months, and even sometimes beating SIC Notícias by a small margin.

Isa earlier shared a video on her Instagram showing the desk rotating. I don't believe anyone else from CNN had videoed that yet.

Looks like CNN US has started using CNNI's Olympic "Aiming For Gold" coverage banner, instead of the usual Bleacher Report.

It is a global CNN-wide thing. They are even using custom music from SAM, an update on that used in PC2018.
