I've been meaning to post this observation on TVF for weeks since I spotted this, but with the whole closure thing and preparing to move over here.
Anyway, the culture slot on Franceinfo's
23h is now pre-recorded and comes from a temporary high table and chairs set-up for the interviews.
They seem to have plenty of time to record these segments in the studio considering the amount of filler they schedule.

Franceinfo always concerns me having this great setup and classy presentation and most of it just being wasted, like it could vanish at any moment.
Surprised to see Capitaine Marleau has been promoted from France 3 to France 2.
It seems France 3 has a similar role to BBC Two in the UK where some series move across to the main channel.

France 3 does seem to me a channel alike to BBC Two, France 3 has culture stuff in it, and it's also a proving ground where if a programme has enough success it goes onto the main channel. The only major difference between France 3 and BBC Two is that here BBC Two does not have regional news, whereas France 3 do
Yeah, although France 2 doesn't, while one of the reason France 3 launched (and they're investing even more on it, by making regional teams "stronger") is its regional character
In a sense, France 3 is between France 2 and the German "Die Dritten" channels (obviously much more centralized.. because, it's France!).
They clearly inspired the launch of RAI3 in Italy, which was launched as a regional and cultural channel

Indeed some Scandinavian public broadcasters actually time share thir channels just like the BBC, for example Norway's NRK 3 share it's frequency with NRK Super, the handover time? 7pm just like CBBC/BBC Three! But I fear that we are going off topic, so in order to get back on topic I ask, does anybody know when Darius Rochebin will return to LCI following the sexual assault claims against him?

I keep meaning to take a look at some of the "radio on the TV" France Bleu programmes that are apparently now on several of the France 3 regions early in the morning. It's odd that these seem to interrupt the children's programming that carries on on France 3 Sat otherwise, rather than some filler repeats (I suppose people with satellite/IPTV/Outre Mer TNT still get to watch the children's stuff though!)
La 1ére also has these types of programmes too.
With France announcing another national lockdown for four weeks from Saturday, 22h on Franceinfo which is usually a 15 minute bulletin followed by pre-recorded filler before around 12 mins of live content from 2238 was a full hour of news and analysis.
I noticed Claire Koc was back on Franceinfo tonight after doing the rounds of promoting her book Claire, Le Prénom de la Honte (Claire, the Name of Shame), which looks at the lack of integration of Turkish people living in France.
Claire herself is a second generation Turk who decided to change her name from Cigdem after feeling that she's more French than Turkish, which led to death threats and hostility from members of France's Turkish community for daring to live the French way of life.
The Arte.tv one has appeared as a service on the R4 DTT multiplex in the last week, I can see it in the satellite feed that I get the channels from. It's a black screen with linked HBBTV data for the app.
I've not yet looked at it on my box/TV that can load the HBBTV apps, hopefully like the German Arte version that's already been available via satellite there'll be a fair amount that isn't geo-restricted though! I can load the HBBTV app from NRJ12 (which seemed until now to be one of the only ones still carrying it), but everything is geo-blocked on there other than the pre-roll ads!
Not seen a stream for Salto appear on any of the 6 national multiplexes yet.
In other news, looks like there's plans being discussed to maybe move the fairly popular but often controversial
Touche pas à mon poste from C8 to Canal+ (I guess during the unencrypted early evening window). Presumably to try to help the flagging main channel, but probably weakening C8 which has built itself up in the last few years.

There's been some questions raised in Belgium about whether if that happens, it might mean that Belgians would no longer be able to watch the programme. C8 is available there, but not Canal+ France. The old Canal+ Belgium became Be TV, which did used to show the unencrypted stuff from the French Canal+ but doesn't nowadays.
