The weird placement to create that negative space and the triangle/globe device is certainly very much looking like the M6 graphics, but these are the definitive new graphics. There are some additional things of the rebrand already uploaded to Lenodal which show additional things focusing on the shape devices.

The DOG spacing of "EUROPE" looks better than the squashing of FBS on that feed, but I agree that it looks worse than it did previously.

The TV5MONDE DOG moves to the top right hand corner during weather bulletins.

Cute, but I'll still miss the Marmottes

I can understand why France 3 wanted to keep their ident characters fresh, but the Marmottes are better.

I think these are fantastic, packed full of personality and I just love the lights one.

On the current Christmas trailers running across the France.tv portfolio, the announcers are calling the group "France Télévisions" instead of "France pointe tv" despite the branding still being the latter.

It's also the same for the evening preview of shows across France 2-5 and Culturebox.

The long running dispute between M6 and Molotov has been resolved with Molotov under it's new Fubo TV management caving in and putting M6's FTA channels behind the paywall.

Catch-up and VOD will be added from the new year.

I notice that Around the World in 80 Days (starts BBC One Boxing Day) is actually a [i]"Slim Film + Television and Federation co-production for the European Alliance formed by France Télévisions, ZDF and RAI, with additional co-production partners, Masterpiece PBS (U.S), Peu Communications (South Africa), Be-Films and RTBF (Belgium), and Daro Film Distribution (associate producer)"[/i] and France TV have already started showing it.

Does French TV always prioritise Christmas Eve for family shows? I note France 2 have put The Secret Life of Pets (Comme des bêtes) on Friday afternoon and that's when TF1's films are. I thought either channel might have more Disney, Pixar etc?

Christmas Eve is usually a night with low viewership. TF1 usually schedules a special episode of its daytime gameshow Les 12 coups de midi and France 2 alternates between a movie, a documentary, or some sort of entertainment programing depending on the year (this year it's a gameshow with celebrities). M6 shows Disney animated movies or cartoons.

M6 has the rights to Disney movies. They usually have one or two big Disney premieres every Christmas season but it's never on Christmas Eve. They showed the live-action Beauty and the Beast on Friday night and have the FTA premiere of Frozen II tonight.
The have more than a dozen Disney movies schedule this season (which is quite a lot actually: https://hitek.fr/actualite/programme-m6-...ilms_32054).

New Year's Eve is also a slow night. TF1 has given up and just plays TV bloopers all night. France 2 has a pre-recorded entertainment special and M6 is showing a French comedy film.

M6 has scheduled Bambi in prime time on Christmas Day, TF1 has the Sony Pictures format District Z which started on Saturday and France 2 has gone for the kids version of N'oubliez pas les paroles! (Don't Forget the Lyrics).

Blooper shows are also the staple of C8 over the festive season, although to be fair to TF1, they normally pre-record links on their blooper show, so it's not all cheap filler.

I've noticed they used to verbally refer to France Télévisions as "France TV", like the "france·tv" logo (now it's "France Télévisions" again) and the france.tv online platform as "la plateforme France point TV" (which remains that way - before the "france·tv" corporate rebrand, it was pronounced "France TV", instead of "France point TV") .
