Louis Laforge has just been on Franceinfo promoting a minute-by-minute recreation of the 10 May 1981 presidential election coverage.
19h50 to midnight, apparently.

Well this surprised me! They could have simply reaired the archive footage!
That's a strange idea - wonder if they're recreating it in the style of the show at the time or giving it the modern treatment.

I am watching it live right now, they seem to be mixing archive footage and live broadcasts from the France Info studio, still it's cool to see this moment in French history 40 years on as live. But one thing is obvious, you will never see something like this on the BBC :-)
A nice homage to all the old graphics. I think (based on a documentary I saw recently) the source for the result at 20h was directly off a Minitel terminal - there were a few thousand in circulation at the time and it was officially launched a couple of months later.
I recorded all 4h10 of it tonight. An interesting concept for a rolling news channel to basically shut up shop at 19h50 tonight and do this.
Some heavily edited highlights from last night's recreation of the 10th May 1981 French Presidential Election results show.

Thank you very much for this recording that you made London Lite! As i wrote earlier, you will never see the BBC doing something like this

I take it that the 23h was not aired?

23h was on between 2300-2330, along with headline news earlier in the evening.
Issues with the steadycam on Franceinfo this morning as Alix Dauge does her segment.

I forgot to mention that France 4 and Franceinfo are now back in Full HD resolution on TNT.

I'm still deeply bothered by the fact that both these segments in the matinale and the debate show at 9:30 both share the same name even if they are totally different formats.
Watching Fort Boyard on France 4 and it's under the Okoo children's brand rather than France 4. It does seem the France 4 brand is being eroded.

Indeed, I remember that when Culturebox was being transferred to France 4, the press release always referred to France 4 as channel 14, not even using the France 4 name, and all of this despte the DG of France Télévisions has said in an interview that she supports keeping France 4 on air
