It's worth noting that Altice recently launched a new VOD service, RMC BFM Play, which has all of their TNT channels in 1080p and has the three Azar sub-opts as well in addition to the other BFM regional channels.

This is what hampers me of Franceinfo during the holiday periods. They drop all programming except news bulletins and the 23h news hour, do lots of filler and lots of repeats. In contrast, BFM TV, CNews and LCI have a sort of normal service, only with its main anchors away, being filled in by their jokers. This is not a problem for French TV news, however, as the French are very accustomed to this. However, what Franceinfo does is more compared to when a strike disrupts normal service, causing the minimum amount of content to be produced.
It was a bugbear when we discussed the holiday schedule on TVF. Only La Matinale (06h30-08h30) and 23h have full bulletins, with the rest of the day reduced to a 15 minute wheel of news followed by up to 45 minutes of filler programming from France 24, INA, TV5MONDE and longer form reports for the majority of the day, while the other news channels provide jockeys (stand-ins) for the regular presenters.
However this week at least, Franceinfo have tried to provide some form of normality with the cover rotas with normal presenters on La Matinale and 23h, while presenters who would be normally on during 'the school year' are presenting the shortened bulletins.

Things to note:
- Soft launch with all three new channels having the same programs from the 5th of July (newswheel + Grand journal du Sud at 6pm with Celine Moncel)
- Full launch at the end of October with 3 real separate channels with distinct programs for each one, so a separate Bonjour Nice/Marseille/Toulon and Bonsoir Nice/Marseille/Toulon. There will also be a weekend slot at 8am (similar to how Paris and Lyon have one). Celine Moncel will be hostine Bonsoir Nice.

Wooow. Very shocking hires out at BFMTV. We hope Calvi will reestablish himself there with his newshour after failing to shock waves over at Canal+. The hiring of Polony is also surprising, as she will be back at a big-name broadcaster after being fired from Europe 1 in 2017 (she is currently the editor in chief of French magazine Marianne, a mostly left-wing weekly which has adopted a more aggressive approach and style under her editorship)
Note that Aurélie Casse is joining Natacha for that hour before and then as now presenting 21h-22h which is currently called Le Dézoom.
Going back to the Azur/BFM relaunch, it all falls into place why Céline Moncel left BFMTV for Azur TV. Good to see that in October that all three channels are splitting for their own output and not becoming another BFM Lille/Grand Littoral where they share the same local programming with different branding on-air.
I wonder if we'll see any changes to Franceinfo next season? The 14h-17h bulletin especially could do with a presenter who actually turns up for the majority of the year. Sophie Le Saint actually being on her own show for a week is a surprise in itself.
The 22h hour also needs tidying up as it starts with a short news buleltin, then pre-recorded programming in the middle, followed by the bulletin reader linking into long form reports and then filler into 23h. It could be a lot better than it is.

Looks like they're for the overseas departments as their channels are distributed via satellite to the DTT muxes they operate.

This is a sign that TéléMatin could become a lighter version of BFMTV’s Première édition, but let’s wait and see how it will look like in August.
Turning back to the weather, TF1 has rolled out a new weather title card, replacing that from 2013 (which was adapted with the new logo animation as a stopgap temporary measure). It is shorter and now aligned with TF1’s rebrand which launched in the New Year. However, the music used since the 2000 graphics package designed by View is still, although heavily edited (not surprising, as TF1 is very much
ain’t broke don’t fix it in the regard with graphics and music). Otherwise, the look is much more in line with the current brand system thru the TF1 main channel.
