Presumably this is going to effect a lot of countries that broadcast the show in half an hour blocks. So they’ll have produce each half an hour as a programme in their own right?
What did any other countries do who used to show The Bill or indeed how do they cope with hour long episode of Corrie now. In reality I imagine they can accommodate it. If Neighbours started airing in hour long episodes I’m sure Channel 5 could cope.

Seven have aired a double or triple episode of Home and Away on Thursdays for a few years now since dropping the Friday edition but still produce it as half hour episodes. That said they probably need more flexibility than ITV would with Corrie due to frequent last minute changes to the schedule seen in Australia.
Watching Classic Corrie i hadn't realised Gail worked in the new Roy's Rolls for so long. I had thought she left not long after they moved but its going on for a year now. I think she definitely leaves before December 2000 as gets a job at the medical centre. I cant remember the last time Gail and Roy shared scenes in modern Corrie.
Rosie has been recast in Classic Corrie and it wont be long before David is too!
At least the original one actually sort-of looked like Emma, compared to the one they had in the show last night which was so vague it could have been practically anybody. I was wondering why Craig was so certain it looked like Emma and it freaked Faye out so much she confessed. The one we saw last night wouldn't give anyone reason to worry! They went from laughably bad (but at least looking somewhat like the person it was meant to be) to laughably generic.

No, Malik was named by the Danish Meteorological Institute as its strongest impacts are expected there. Corrie was named by the Met Office.

We did have a storm Dierdre a few years back.
On one of today's ITV3 episodes, we saw a shot down the back alley towards the "viaduct" end- before the viaduct was built. So you had a clear view onto Rosamund street rather than the archway through one of the viaduct pillars that's there now.
We're only a few months away from the viaduct making its abrupt appearance (and having to believe it had always been there). Even though it doesn't run over the back of the houses and leads to nowhere.
Coming to modern Corrie- how could Dev have not heard Max smashing up Daniel's flat right above him?

Seeing as on ITV3 we're at the height of Martin's affair story, it's interesting that Jill Halfpenny is effectively back on the show on every episode now, seeing as she's the voice of the Argos sponsor bumpers.
