A couple of recent developments to kick things off
Look North Yorks have got a few new faces acting as presenters - Hannah Gray on Sundays although as Look North don’t ever caption news presenters, it took about a month before she did a weekday bulletin to actually know what she was called
Ans also Dave Edwards seems to now present both at breakfast time from Hull and occasionally at other times from Leeds. This did result in the “with Huw Edwards and Dave Edwards” announcement at Ten a few weeks back.
Also I notice, besides John and Gaynor’s last show last Friday, Calendar seem to be split between North and South for the full 30 minutes these days. I suppose it’s easier to just pre-record the full thing rather than do only 20 minutes and having to hit the set time in the live show where both regions come together.
They also had a newish face pop up for the weather on the 6:30 last night, Gillian Brown. Was a pre-record for both Hull and Leeds though for some reason.

Gillian's been around, on and off for a couple of years, although I think has mostly done off-peak weather shifts. I believe she mainly works in local radio – Leeds IIRC?

It looked like she was broadcasting from home, the lighting looked a bit dodgy
Gillian has also covered shifts at the London weather hub.

I think she was more Cambridgeshire based BBC local radio. Certainly when she started to appear often in Sundays. But may be at Leeds now.
Just looking through the Saturday bulletins, I notice that both editions of look north had the main presenter hosting on a Saturday (Amy for Look North Yorkshire and Peter for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire), it must be the first time ever that Peter has worked on a Saturday.
They seem to be using the somber theme all the time now on Look North ?
Edit: it’s only the Leeds based edition :o
Interesting yesterday Calendar had two seperate OBs
The North version was presented by Duncan from a campsite in North Yorkshire
and
The South version was presented by Christine from a campsite in Lincolnshire

It's still being used. It seems a bit much, particularly given that the national news hasn't changed its music since the Prince Philip died. Have any other regions continued to use it for the full week?
Looks like Breakfast had live regional weather this morning

I assume the Leeds studio being lit means that they did separate bulletins today as a one-off to cover the local and Mayoral elections, so I don't know if live weather was a one-off too or if that's returned permanently.
Yes they did do split bulletins this morning, Dave Edwards in Leeds
The weather wasn’t live though, and it still covered the whole Yorks and Lincs region
It was live from Leeds with Claire and Abbie this morning. Although yesterday morning, we got the BBC London news at 6.25.
Maybe they’ve reinstated the split region bulletins at breakfast permanently?
