Knight post_id=59603 time= user_id=1671 Wrote:Two NPO extra channels, NPO Nieuws and NPO Zappelin Extra, ended in 15/12, with their programming shifted to NPO Politieks (now NPO Politieks en Nieuws) and NPO3 (NPO Zappelin) respectively. Following the rearrangement, the channel numbers of the remaining extra channels will be reassigned in January 2022.
According to the press release (translated):
Quote:With the tightening up of the offer, the availability of the extra channels NPO Zappelin extra and NPO Nieuws will come to an end. The many public programs for toddlers and preschoolers can still be found on NPO Zappelin (via NPO 3), the app of the same name for children and of course NPO Start. The daily NOS Journaal from 8 p.m. with a sign interpreter moves from NPO News to NPO Politics and News. The NOS Youth News with sign language interpreter (19:00) will also move there.
NPO Politics and News is now the additional channel for political debates, news broadcasts, events, (political) press conferences and sports. NPO 1 extra is the channel for special broadcasts and programs from the rich archive of the public broadcaster. The NPO 2 extra theme channel is and will remain the place for documentaries and additional cultural offerings, such as music, theatre, visual arts and film.
The end of the news channel is posted on another thread, and this is the end of the kids channel:

W. Knight So what NPO did is that they closed their children's channel and they merged their news channel with their parliamentary one, is it because of budget cuts? Also I would like to know if radio stations were also closed, out of curiosity

Seems like they're moving some themed radio channels online,
as seen in this report:
Quote:The radio channels are currently broadcast online and via DAB+. The deletion of NPO Radio 4 Concerts means that the NPO no longer has a channel with non-stop classical music in its offer. The NPO refers to NPO Radio 4 and the NPO Radio 4 portal. NPO Radio 4 Concerts was promised as a classic theme channel in 2006 when the NPO sold the Concertzender.
The theme channels of NPO FunX and NPO 3FM are being reduced because, in the view of the NPO, young people listen to less radio and listen to more podcasts and streaming services. Nevertheless, these continue via the internet thanks to the efforts of the local broadcasters from Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht.

Thank you very much for answering my question
In Hungary, MTVA announced that their culture channel, M5 is getting a new look on the 3rd of January 2022
It's not just the BBC who's celebrating a major milestone in 2022, our Aussie friends at the ABC are turning the big nine-zero in the New Year so a big Happy 90th birthday to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation!
They made two special idents to celebrate.

Euskal Telebista has introduced new logos for their channels as of today as well as a new logo for the ETB brand itself in the form of a egg, representing the 40th anniversary of ETB and the famous robin logo or "txantxangorri", drawn by Basque artist Mikel Urmeneta.
The channel logos themselves are based on the works of famous Basque sculptors such as Jorge Oteiza, Eduardo Chillida and Nestor Basterretxea, whose works inspire the designs of on-screen graphics and so forth creating an identity that is "disruptive, fun and close to the Basque people".
Here's how ETB2, the Spanish-language station of the 4 stations, switched over to the new look during the New Year's celebrations.

Here's a further look at the new brand.

It was introduced initially as an
Inocentada, better said, the Spanish equivalent of April Fools' Day (December 28 rather than April 1), but turned out to be real.

IMHO, the new brand looks quite childish, too much for a regional Spanish broadcaster. They are successfully capturing the Basque way of life, but for a serious service like ETB, it is really too much. The big 4 regional stations (TV3, TVG, ETB, Telemadrid) have more or less polished brands, but ETB is deviating from that status quo. They are also doing away with their robin logo, an icon for many Basques worldwide, the current incarnation of which was developed by Velvet mediendesign and now-defunct studio Ostra Delta in 2000 and updated in 2007.
To compare, here's the previous look, designed by Mucho, Cómodo Screen (Barcelona) and sound branding by Banjo Soundscapes (Valencia). They also did the current Movistar+ and Telemadrid brands:

There's a new logo for Cartoon Network Studios, so I assume the CN channel itself will be getting a new look soon?
It's on the fifth image on this Instagram post.

The channel is not getting a new logo per-se, but is rebranding globally. The concept is known as "Redraw Your World", developed as CN is expanding its programming to live-action content, programming targeted at families and relaunching its Cartoonito brand, whilst retaining its chief focus on animated programming (a plan led by Tom Ascheim, which launched the Noggin network and led ABC Family's relaunch as a millennial-focused network renamed Freeform). It premiered in the US during the Thanksgiving holiday, and features music composed by drummer Nandi Bushell:

The first international version to have the new look was the Japanese version on New Year's Day:

Hoping the UK will get the new look soon. De arimasu!

Why does CN Studios use a different font then? This new package keeps the same logo they've had for the last few years, so the Studios rebrand implies it'll be a shortlived look. :?

Other than the first logo,
CN Studios has gone its own direction branding-wise. Take the 2010 logo, looks really different than the official CN logo.
