Polsat has unveiled the logo for its new Wydarzenia 24 headline service channel, which launches in September. The channel will be, as expected, a 24-hour news channel focusing exclusively on headline news. The channel will use the resources of Polsat News, the main Wydarzenia newscasts, and from the Internet portal Interia, which Polsat brought from Bauer Media last year, and will broadcast from a fully automated studio. Bosnian media executive Rusmir Nefić, which supervised the launch of N1 Info (Balkans), A2 CNN (Albania) and CNN Prima News (Czech Republic), and more recently, overseeing the launch of the new Euronews local affiliate in Serbia, is being brought on board as consultant. Polish media is reporting that technical staff went to the Euronews Serbia HQ in Belgrade last July to see how the tech workflow operates, and that Superstacja journalists will be retained as anchors, working in support with Polsat News journalists.

Update on the Polsat rebrand: here's a first look at each channel's idents. All of the presentation is set to use a common corporate style, focusing on the line devices, with the colour palette changing to reflect each channel's brand. The entire presentation, based on the brand system from Saffron, was designed by Luxlotusliner, which also designed the previous OSP for Polsat, which was launched in 2019 and adapted to the group's core entertainment channels in 2020.

I like the idents, but I feel they would have been better doing different versions of the jingle for each/some of the channels instead of the same one.
More elements from Polsat's rebrand are being unveiled. Last week, the new Polsat Go AVOD service launched, and in the last few days, some of their specialised channels (specially Polsat 2 and Polsat 1) have been posting promos which already have the new common OSP, which will be unified across all channels but which will reflect the colour palette of each channel's logos. The photos have been sourced from the Polish counterpart of TVLF, Media2 Forum.
Here's how the promo presentation looks like in motion (in this case, promoting a Polish pop music show on Polsat 1, the international service):

Still with Polish TV rebrands, but this time within TVP, the new OSP for TVP1 and TVP2 will debut in early September. It has been also confirmed that the new look will come with the new text-only logos which were presented during the company's New Year's conference, which feature the new propietary typeface comissioned by TVP, instead of updating the existing logos.
The Polsat rebrand is officially on the air...

Here's how Polsat News looks. There has been another refresh of the 2008 look, with most opens and stings being retained, some of them recoloured. The station's flipper has been replaced by a more conventional ticker.
But... surprise. Polish TV has gotten not one, but two rebrands Monday. TVN7 has also debuted a brand new look and a new channel focus, with its public shifting from an affluent adult audience to a younger demographic, and a similar programming policy to other European counterparts, like RTLZWEI, ProSieben and W9, among others... The new look was designed by Argentinian studio Superestudio.
Video is unavailable to embed because of content restrictions enforced by TVN. The three main Polish broadcasters tend to block videos submitted by users at YouTube, but TVN is the strictest of the three.
However, a fan-made video reel with many elements of it can be seen by clicking here.
And TVP is preparing for the rebrand of TVP1 and TVP2 with this reel featuring the full brand montage and a selection of promos... As expected, both channels will replace their 2003 logos with new logos featuring the custom made typeface for the new OSP, already used by TVP Sport (however, here comes more brand inconsistency a la BBC, as the TVP logo will be retained in the corporate level). The new looks will be introduced either at the end of this week or next week.

US: Turner Classic Movies has rebranded with a new brand identity from Silbing Rivalry and sonic branding from Joel Beckerman's Man Made Music. The biggest thing: TCM has dropped the identifying logo which the channel had used since debuting in 1994, and survived many rebrandings. It has been replaced by a new streaming-first living logo in which the C can adopt different shapes and contexts related to film genres. The brand went on-air today and it will be accompained by new info-featurettes, which, alongside informational context about the film, will try to connect "the then with the now" with an increased focus on recent developments. The new look does not mean any channel drift, however, as it will stick with its programming focus of uncut, uncensored and uninterrupted classic movies from the Turner libraries, with a focus on films from the 30s to the 80s.

A little fact: Both the initial version of SIC's logo, and the logos of Rede Globo in Brazil since 1976, were designed by Austrian-Brazillian designer Hans Donner. Globo owned a stake in SIC during its initial years. No wonder, the sequence was a compilation of Rede Globo's idents from the 80s to early 90s (and a bit of
Video Show titles).
The original version of the station song retired many years ago. My guess is that, at the end of the song, it had an accidental reference to “televisão independente”, which happens to be the full name of the rival channel, TVI, launched months later in February 1993 on channel 4.

That's strange. I wonder why they never adopted the logo introduced here two years ago?

For the first time in years they have finally stopped muting the soundtracks whilst the continuity announcer is speaking. Much more upbeat than last years idents.

Maybe they upgraded playout/hardware? Found it really bizarre that audio ducker issue went on for so long. Glad it's fixed
