First of all, this is my first post on the new site so thanks Rob for having me!

Didn't think this really warranted a thread to itself so I thought maybe we could use this as a place to discuss little bits of game show presentation or new commissions that are quite insignificant and don't really warrant a thread.

ITV have announced some more details about 'The Void' - a fitting name as the format makes me want to fall into a void. It's set to be filmed at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool and hosted by Ashley Banjo and Fleur East. From what I can tell the contestants do challenges over what the press release describes as "one of the biggest bespoke water tanks ever constructed for a game show" and try not to fall in to win £25k. Obviously all of the money went on the tank. Who wants to tell ITV that swimming pools exist?

And on that note... I'm out.
I'm quite looking forward to Game of Talents, I've seen bits of the international versions and I can see it doing well over here.

Weirdly, because of the many lockdowns, I've started to apply to appear on a number of new and existing gameshows and while I've not been selected yet for a show, the process of applying and auditioning has been interesting to say the least.

I'll be honest, the presenters of this do put me off a little. ITV seem keen to push them both though (BGT/DOI appearances for Ashley & Takeaway for Fleur). But the format seems interesting, almost The Cube/Ninja Warrior mash up!

Gameshows are very much in fashion at the moment aren't they. I presume the fact they're easy to film, usually quickly in the grand scheme of time for each episode means they're efficient in the COVID world..
If they want a show of that type, why not just make more Ninja Warrior? It seems rather odd that as soon as someone completes the course, they axe the show.

Almost like the two events were unrelated.

I did briefly wonder if they'd chosen the arena in Liverpool because it's right next to the Mersey and an easy way of disposing of 500,000 litres of water but then I don't suppose it's particularly healthy to dump such a high amount of presumably chlorinated water into a river like that!
I saw an application for The Void a few months back and filming will take up to six days for a contestant which seems a lot for a gameshow.

It would be hard for them to make that at the moment, the whole course would need to be deep cleaned after each contestant.

I’m looking forward to both The Void and Game of Talents, Epic Gameshow is also back next week and I’m sure a new series of Beat The Chasers isn’t too far around the corner.

They have a whole series of Beat The Chasers in the can IIRC.

Plus another celebrity special, I believe? Was shocked they haven’t aired them both in a row, but I suppose launching Epic Gameshow S2 after Takeaway is a better use of the lead-in this week.

I wonder if BTC will get another strip week, or if it’ll follow Millionaire into mixing between the 2. As it’s being reported that Masked Dancer will take the BGT semis strip week in a few months.
Funny how Epic Gameshow’s gone from series 1 being sat on the shelf for about a year and half before it was shown to series 2 airing just two weeks after it was filmed.

I think Epic Gameshow was meant to air later in the year but Moneyball's delay meant it had to brought forward.
Game of Talents to start on April 10th.

They were going to air it before The X Factor Celebrity originally but they decided not to as they realised it would get smashed by strictly, so they then decided to air it before BGT 2020, but due to COVID they moved it to June/July to fill the hole left by the delayed euros.
