It seemed destined for a post-Strictly slot so wonder if ITV have put Beat the Chasers at 8.30pm to force them to air it before Strictly instead, unless it doesn't start for another month.

It proceeded as normal with the first pair of contestants, but when the second pair were revealed, one of them was (seemingly) the same bloke from the first pair but with a different name. Lily played it off in sort of bemused fashion, probably said he looked very familiar or something, but the whole thing was left weirdly ambiguous and there was no mention of twins.
Then at the end of the episode, when everyone comes back to wave at the camera, one of the supposed "twins" was stood over by the celebs with his back to the camera for the whole shot.
I can only assume someone didn't turn up and this was the best way they could think of to work round it...
Speaking of Blankety Blank, just seen the coming soon on BBC ONE promo and the logo for the new series reminded me of former UKTV channel Really, with the way the A's are styled.

Quote:Music composer Matthew Strachan has died at the age of 50.
Strachan, who was best known for composing the iconic Who Wants To Be A Millionaire theme tune, is said to have died ‘suddenly’ at his home.
Confirming the news, a friend told The Sun: ‘Matthew was a troubled soul but an incredibly gifted man.
‘He was gentle and kind but endured an ongoing struggle with his inner demons. It is tragic he couldn’t be at peace.’

That being said, I'd love to see a UK version of Hard Quiz which is kind of like Mastermind but with a comedic element.
