Is tonight’s celebrity edition of Tipping Point the first to air with social distancing in place? I haven’t managed to catch the daytime show recently.
I'd like to see a UK version of Game of Games, possibly presented by Ant & Dec. I'm sure a pilot was filmed once but was never turned into a series. I think that would rate really well on the ITV Saturday Night schedule.
Also, I know they are cheap to make, but do we really need constant celebrity episodes of The Chase, Tipping Point, Catchphrase et al?
Totally agree about Game of Games. It’s a great format with lots of potential. Ant & Dec are a great shout, I would’ve said Stephen Mulhern but with Rolling In It returning alongside Catchphrase & In For A Penny, he’s on a lot of Saturday nights.
Didn’t know they’d done a UK pilot, is there any more info about that anywhere?

It’s the second, the first was the Christmas special.

I remember Ellen mentioned it a while back on her show in the US but nothing ever came of it. From what I remember it was filmed on the US set. Not sure who the presenter was though.

I presume TPIR will follow how they do it in the US, when that returned.
The pool of contestants (IIRC they have 20 per show) are backstage, and when their name is called out, they come out to the stage from the wings.
From what I saw on This Morning last week, Alan was recording TPIR as Phil and Holly interviewed him live from his studio.
What ever happened to the ITV Gary Lineker fronted ‘Sitting on a Fortune’, not to be confused with the Irish format of the same name? Did they record a series or was it just a pilot?

It was just a pilot, probably wasn’t taken to a series.

Well those headlines would just write themselves.
Pointless now post-pandemic, with the wider gap in the Head to Head the only noticeable concession, though contestants can now return for a third show.
Also Tenable start airing Sally Lindsay episodes next week.
Pointless is pretty much the same apart from no audience and a slighter wider distance between the contestants, it probably helps that all the couples either live together or are in a bubble unlike Pointless Celebrities which has the screens.
I'm looking forward to the Sally Lyndsay versions of Tenable next week. I think it'll bring a whole new dynamic to the show.
Sally has a very dry sense of humour and can be sarcastic so will be completely opposite to Warrick.
I know Warrick has been ill recently and to he honest it is showing on air. He is coming across as snappy and bored.
(Edited to remove wrong gameshow title)

Do you not mean Tenable?
I wonder if they are edging for Sally to take over full time from Warwick, could be the case if he is indeed still ill (I believe he had a stroke before this series began filming).
At least Sally is a different choice for all the people who say ITV only ever use the same four hosts (which for the record they don’t).
