ITV do have the Grand National and then a new Celebrity Catchphrase leading in to Game of Talents so may do better, though surprised they've not bought their schedule forward 10 minutes so remove the I Can See Your Voice headstart, though maybe not lining up the junctions is just as wise a move.

Though I can see the National having lower ratings than usual, as the betting shops are banned from opening until Monday and therefore all of the once a year punters will probably not be bothering with it this year. I know I won't. I'm not setting up an online account just for one race.

The virtual version rated pretty well so I think it'll hold up - surely betting shops are a small part of the betting market nowadays anyway. I think it being absent for a year too will reignite interest and it's a bit of a return to normality. In addition the pubs are still shut and you've not got hundreds of thousands of fans at football matches. Incidently they are doing the virtual version again earlier in the afternoon.


Back to game shows and Tenable and I've always found Sally Lindsay very likeable in any interviews she's done so hopefully it suits her. It really is an underrated format IMO - I far prefer it to Tipping Point. I suspect it also benefits from not airing all year round and not being endlessly repeated.

Both I Can See Your Voice and Game of Talents sound incredibly similar to each other, I think they’ll regret putting them head to head - both will probably cancel each other out.

And both were made by Thames in Studio 1 at Maidstone I believe.

What winds me up with the BBC ad is it ends with the audience shouting "Let's Hear Your Voice", which makes it sound like the name of the show, before they instantly give the actual name.

For me though Lip Synching is for Youtubers and TikTokkers, not primetime Saturday night on BBC1. I think laughing at the bad singers feels about 15 years out of date too and the BBC's last attempt to capitalise on those who tuned into The X Factor for the bad auditions failed miserable with Lorraine Kelly at the helm IIRC.

Game of Talents may at least have the potential to have talented people able to showcase their talent, and it seems like it might be quite pacy with 8 people featured per hour long episode.

Yep, and another thing that could have been avoided is the chant itself since Game of Talents has similar - "Show Us Your Talent".

When I thought of gameshows that could be done mid-pandemic without any changes I thought Britain's Brightest Family would be up there but the Celebrity version was on last night and the families were stood at staggered podiums. Just presumed it would have been the same like Family Fortunes.

I really like this show. But am not sure on the latest format changes with the rounds. It has changed quite a lot since the start, as I believe it originally featured (at least) 1 child on each team... I miss the chairs/nominating someone else to answer from S1 too, as this was a good format point.

Following on from schedule changes on Friday, there are now 2 episodes of !mpossible on this afternoon at 13:45 & 14:30. Looks like Garden Rescue has been dropped & Escape to the Country has changed from a 45 minute edition into a 30.

Also interesting to note that a repeat run of Head Hunters has been running on BBC Two at 13:00. It's a 30 episode run & started in late November 2020, but has over time been displaced by Snooker then Educational programming. So it's still got 5 episodes to air 4 months later.

Seems to be all the same games on The Price Is Right as the last two episodes within Epic Gameshow, most of which were the same as Alan Carr’s daytime Channel 4 broadcast pilot.

Seems to be a new game now.
