They did introduce a spinning desk for the contestants in the ill-fated 1995 revival, but I think that was going to take more than some spinning to save that format.
Interesting to note they've used a clip from a film for the Observation round - which puts those era shows out of Flextech/Challenge buying budget (pay to clear it). From 1987 Granada made their own films for that round so it was cheaper to buy. Also see the ID parade round later used on Never Mind The Buzzcocks

Does everyone think Danny Dyer will be replaced on The Wall once he goes to Sky or is it time for a new show altogether on Saturday nights?

It's surely not a golden handcuffs deal? I'd be surprised if he had to leave The Wall to do a Sky drama.

If we were in Oz or Yankeeland, then probably but we’re very lucky in the UK that broadcasters allow their personnel to work for other broadcasters.
Australia especially are very nit-picky for it; that’s why you have some presenters leave shows to go to another channel a lot of the time, e.g. Sonia Kruger constantly flip-flips between Network 7 and Channel 9; they won’t let her host a show on both simultaneously, whereas here, Bradley Walsh can do Blankety Blank for the Beeb and the Chase for ITV without issue. They were even scheduled to overlap for a few weeks in 2021- airing at the exact same time! I can understand why Aussie broadcasters might not want these shows to air at the exact same time as each other; but I wouldn’t have an issue with an Aussie host doing, for example, a daytime quiz at 5-6pm on Channel 9, and a weekly primetime talent show on a Sunday on Network 7. But Aussie media seems to want their personnel tied to just one channel, whereas here, that’s only reserved for the likes of Ant and Dec, Phil and Holly on ITV (Stephen Mulhern isn’t ITV-exclusive, he guested on Would I Lie To You on the Beeb the other week, and on Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back on Channel 4 in the summer) I would’ve said Gary Lineker for the Beeb but he does Sitting on a Fortune for ITV these days. I don’t think Channel 4 or 5 have any golden handcuffs deals (Jane McDonald maybe? I know her and the channel had a brief falling out over an alleged Blankety Blank revival, but let’s face it- BB is cheap enough never mind a Channel 5 budget, Jane wouldn’t suit the hosting style, and also the calibre of celeb would likely be pretty poor- the types of people you get on your talking heads clip shows). Back to the point, handcuffs deals are becoming a thing of the past; possibly due to the decline of people watching linear TV? ‘TV’ (if you can call it that now rather than streaming) stars’ exclusivity contracts are probably with Netflix or Amazon rather than the Beeb or ITV. Personally though as a very much old-school man, that whole thing about the old-fashioned method of TV dying out worries me as game/quiz shows aren’t really a format lent to binging. Indeed, many broadcasters transmission them in a random order rather than filming order (apart from shows with rolling jackpots/carryover champions).
The Aussies don't even have their stars guest on rival channels - it's petty and ridiculous. Even the US networks aren't that restrictive.
Talking of Sky folk doing BBC quizzes Ross Kemp has a new daytime show next week called Bridge of Lies, unusually scheduled just before Pointless.

Well if we are going for guest appearances, Ant & Dec have been on The One Show & Graham Norton recently.
Holly has and still is doing programmes for the BBC (she was filming one just the other week). But Phil I don't think you ever see on the BBC these days in any capacity?
I don't know if Stephen Mulhern is on a 'golden handcuffs' deal but if he ever presented a show on the BBC that would be quite a surprise, isn't he an ITV lifer?

Given how The Wall used to have very consistent scheduling and time slots, and now seemingly thrown in to Saturday evenings as and when, with weeks gaps between single episodes, I'd be surprised if it gets a recommission.
BBC One appear to be getting bored with it.
Arguably 7pm on Saturday night is the best slot it's had yet though, and the gaps at the moment are generally sport related as they always are in Q1. I'd say it's in it's most consistent slot so far, but they really do seem to mess up the order in which they air. This run seems to be episodes from three different series (two regular and one celeb).

A&D have been on talk shows, I suppose, but not as guests on other channels' panel shows like Mulhern has been recently.
Ross Kemp is a surprisingly good gameshow host.
