There are logos slapped on footage though and logos slapped on footage. I think ITV had one of the more successful implementations of it with a recogniseable hook that linked it all together.
I quite liked the Alive with Colour idents myself - again a recogniseable hook and in this case a confident colour scheme which links everything together.
I like ITV Creates the best, because some logos are so colorful, and some might be dull, but a the same time I think they are great, especially Erin Taylor's logo, which is my favourite logo so far.
Honestly, I actually quite like how ITV has been doing with their ITV Creates idents as I found their previous idents to be meh.
I like the 1998-2006 logo the most, though it probably has to do with all the wasted potential it had

and yeah, the ITV creates stuff is pretty darn good too

That logo would've clashed with ITV2 - it needed to go when that channel's launch was being planned in 1998.
huh, i didn't know that
i always thought ITV's 1998 rebrand was just another attempt at unification
I'm happy to say that a new ITV Ident has come out! It was made by Jason Wilshers-Mills and Judith Hope.
Here is the image of the artwork.
Is it just me who finds that a little creepy?
Creepy but the most innovative for quite some time.

I love how different the Ident is and how it is extenuates the curves of the logo into the arms, my problem is that as part of a set this would be perfect against a brightly lit coloured backdrop or in situ at a funfair, with playful music, as it is, the same dreary music let’s it down.
