I can imagine they put all their money into that instead of another ITV logo artpiece

Good for them, social interaction is a must after 1 year of not talking to people outside your screen

I hate to be the one to tell you you’ve been staying inside for no reason…

Don't think I'll ever get used to ITV claiming Television Centre as it's own.
Interesting trailer. Well done to Maya Jama for asking about somebody else.

As for the presentation, it’s a shame that there’s nothing new again for Christmas, after the big monthly campaigns I took it that there would be a new one. If they’re not, I’d like to see them mix the old ones together rather than a week of one, then a week of the other.

I’m assuming that there’s nothing new on any of the other ITV channels either? Why ITV2 have no go to Christmas Ident in their set has always struck me as odd. Their 2011 & 2012 packages were brilliant, but then nothing from 2013 onwards.
It does look like they are mixing them up this time rather than just using the same design for a week. Have seen the reindeer, houses and gift boxes versions so far.
The mixing of the Christmas idents is a pleasant surprise- I think they could just do that with the regular idents too and it would make a great package. Honestly I've wanted them to do that since the end of 2019 and I don't know why they kept repeating the set-week schedule in 2020 instead of just mixing them all together. Suffice it to say I will take this festive version as a win Big Grin

The whole ITV2 randomly generated ident package has potential for a Christmas edit. Start December (or mid-November if you're feeling feisty) with the regular clips like the hot dogs, toasters, wellies, etc. but gradually start adding in festive-themed ones into the rotation, building up over the weeks and then by Christmas week it can be predominantly those festive clips.
I should have watched more than the one junction this morning before saying about the mixing, it’s a nice touch.

I like that ITV2 idea of slowly phasing in the clips. Didn’t we work out when they launched that there are meanings to each of the clips, e.g. hammer time & traffic jam, how would they denote Christmas in a similar way?
Yes - I've always liked the C4 approach of slowly introducing them, mainly around Christmas programmes, early in December and then using them across all junctions around Christmas itself.

I'm sure there are plenty of concepts that fit the ITV2 concept without just throwing together a couple of Christmassy items - just can't think of anything at the moment.
Anyone else lost ITV channels on Freeview? Currently ITV channels are "off air" showing a blue screen in the London area.
Anyone else not receiving ITV on Freeview? Currently ITV (SD) and ITV 3 are showing a blue screen in the London area.
Anyone else think the "fight for your attention continues" tagline on the ITV Hub adverts seem a little... well odd? Maybe just me but just seems a bit too obvious dare I say for an advertisement?

The campaign's been running for at least 6 months - I still don't understand any of it, or what it's even supposed to be promoting on the Hub.
I thought it worked well as a summer campaign whilst football dominated the main channel but agree it should have ended by now.
Is this a new one?

Also used to introduce Dickenson's Real Deal.
