But studio E still has something no other fancy set up can give you - the depth of a gigantic, real newsroom behind. The set can be refreshed, with a different desk and a better newswall but it really doesn't need anything else.
As change goes, this is sorely needed. And if utilised in the right way (as it appears that it will do) then this set could last for many years to come.
Also interesting that the weather is being brought into the studio at Ten which means that regions will have proper closers on the late bulletins now which will be much better.
It’s quite frustrating that once again we’ve got half a refresh, when really a new set should coincide with new branding (rather than branding that’s 14 years old). But again, it’s a step in the right direction. Could give ITV News the kick up the Jaxie it needs and create some real competition between the two main terrestrial news providers.

I think it looks great. It can easily grow on you as well. Sometimes I hate things when I first see them and start to like them over time.

I like it. The balcony bit looks a bit dull but overall I like it.
On either side of studio e is a spiral staircase. One of them goes all the way down to the studios. With a bit of editing they could start to go down the stairs in the newsroom to come out in studio b.

What do you mean by this being NBH's equivalent to N6? N6 was roughly the same size as Studio E, just with a bit more headroom and lacking a live newsroom view.

Has it been confirmed this is a Clickspring design? It certainly has elements of the Washington set, but I don't think we've heard who it has been designed by.
