Has the big vertical screen in the middle been used for anything more than the opening shot and then promoting the app/iPlayer etc yet? Thanks. Still not convinced it is actually a great way of displaying info on a 16:9 bulletin.

It felt like they had run out of time on the six as it was more hurried than usual - but then they did the same on the ten. Much better than the awkward walk.
Whoops. One of the regions didn’t come through on the regional wall on tonight’s six. A Testcard was showing in its place.
Which region was feeding a WMT 106 slate into the multiviewer?

Channel Islands were the WMT slide
Hmm - are they using a phone and the WMT app to get that shot for the multiviewer? Given that BBC Jersey has historically had non-standard comms it's probably a much easier solution than trying to get an ISO out of the mixer into a contrib circuit
Excuse my ignorance, but what does WMT stand for?
It's a commercial product from these guys

competitor to Live-U, as I understand it. Broadcast contributions over bonded 3G/4G/Wifi

West Midlands Trains? ?
A Birmingham based regional news could be called “West Midlands Today”?

Much easier, particularly as they don't have a contribution circuit to the mainland
If there isn't a reference to Harry Gration on the Nations and Regions throw tonight I'll be disappointed

The late bulletin will be difficult tonight. I think it’s Amanda on tonight

I think it was Amanda when Harry left Look North back in October 2020, the late bulletin presented by Amanda.
I’d expect it to actually be mentioned as a news item, considering he was fairly well known nationally from all the various bits of sports coverage he’d presented/commentated on/reported about

The story is on the main page of the BBC News app, so it seems it’s being treated as a national story.
