Imagine if they lost the project files for that (:

Someone said that there may be changes afoot at Wales Today. I wonder if they’re thinking of changing the name of the programme?
In Wales at the moment there seems to be a big trend in using a smattering of Welsh words in an otherwise English sentence.
Rather than things being bilingual so that there are Welsh and English versions, more often now is a blended approach. For example they will say “That’s it from Wales Today for tonight. Nos da.”
We used to have Scouts Wales/Sgowtiaid Cymru - now we have Scouts Cymru.
So perhaps Wales Today will follow the trend and either become Wales Heddiw or Cymru Today.
In fact I can see moves to stop using the word Wales soon and just call us Cymru*.

2 nights in a row now they’ve used the old newsroom backdrop for the papers. Seems an odd decision as the updated one is still being used during the day for world.

Ok I am gonna say it I’m sorry my brain can’t get used to this boxed bbc news logo, it looks ugly and the whole thing just look botched battered and whacked into place with no cohesive thinking or design rationale whatsoever.
It’s all over the shop.

I'm beginning to suspect that whoever is project manager for Chameleon might be leaving it off their CV in the future.

I hope this new boxed BBC News logo is only an interim measure - it's totally at odds with the rest of the Chameleon project. Very out of place.

Wales Today finally updated today (or at least the screens were during the Six headlines)

A different out of :15 track was used the other day. Don't believe I've heard this mix before.
Sounds like it's what should've been used for the long titles without the newsroom pan.

They made a right cats bottom of the sound that day in Cardiff. It faded out totally at the top of the hour leaving total silence until Huw said Good Evening Noswaith dda.
Made all their totally unnecessary and over the top pans of the exterior and atrium seem a bit all the gear no idea.
At one point I wondered whether it was the news or just Huw’s pitch for the Presidency!

Huw is probably the proudest Welshman you'll come across. I do agree the pans were as you put it 'a bit all the gear no idea'. But I've no problem him saying good evening in Welsh. Incidentally - would both programmes have been controlled from London or Cardiff?
