Honestly - come on BBC - you can do so much better than this.
The BBC News logo in the red box is ridiculously small. How many people ticked this design as complete before it reached our screens???
It's truly breathtaking it's taking so long to do all of this but at least it's done now.
Took a while for the name astons and other graphics to start appearing and is it normal for the ticker to have nothing going on as well? (Edit: Ticker now on as of 09:06)
and they still can't change the city names in the titles to Reith :/

It looks a bit better for World News logo, however would benefit from being slightly larger to fill the available space better. Similarly in the news headlines the word 'NEWS' seems to be smaller than the BBC logo. I'm guessing the font size of 'BBC' and 'NEWS' may be the same size, but the white boxes make the BBC look bigger, and in my opinion not seem right on screen.
Reminded me of this, on a smaller scale, funnily enough:
Welcome to the interim!
And they should update that laptop/phone website graphic after using it for years, but the astons match now and that's
fine.
Well the difference is certainly noticeable isn't it when the logo has changed withjn some parts of it's presentation. The biggest change for me is the new BBC News logo in the red box. The difference in size is a huge disadvantage as the logo is far too small. However the BBC News box with the Reith BBC Blocks logo on the ticker looks a little bit cleaner and narrower on the screen.

I think had they done this in October that would be true but doing it now kind of reignites hatred for the new logo again and the clumsy way it has been handled means it just looks wrong.

New titles coming later in the year so hardly worth it.
I actually get why BBC NEWS is so small in the box now - it’s so it’s the same size for BBC WORLD NEWS. Makes sense and we’ll get used to it.
Just need to update their socials now.
And BBC Weather?

Well it reminds you of how back in 1997 they managed to update the logo on the day it launched on screen in a way that didn't look awful.
It is the half way house bit like 1997 again except it’s worst because there are other parts of chameleon have kicked in like the three squares on the bbc news app, I darent look at bbc Arabic and Persian it’s likely they haven’t changed at all.
I don’t think it looks too bad but it’s so out of sync with the rest of the bbc updates, all it’s showing is how huge and over bloated bbc news must be.
EDIT: Old old logo on bbc Arabic and Persian.

Ah, touché! Less of the 'we'll update the stationary but only when the envelopes have run out' method in 1997...
Still no change to the BBC Weather logo as of this morning when Carol Kirkwood did the latest forecast.
Oh they made a dog dinners out of this, old bbc world news logo back on the half hour shows…
Does anyone know when the BBC Sport logo will be changed to include the new blocks logo to have it on their news bulletins?
Don't know whether it's the updated BBC logo or the use of Reith but the new logos just don't look great - especially on the lower thirds.
Maybe it's just a case of needing to get used to it but it just feels weird.
