The first new look of 2022 goes to RT. As briefly mentioned in the International News thread, they've updated their opening titles and studio, but no changes to the lower thirds as yet...

Nothing is more convincing that a state owned broadcaster is telling the truth without censorship than slapping phrases telling us they are prominently in their channel graphics.
Did that desk also launch today?
A bit of a throwback, but the new look has been already in use by the Spanish service of RT for two months, they even have flatter straps:

I think it did. The old one vs the new one for comparison...

Think this is the best place for this, German regulators have banned RT's German language channel.
The set reminds me a green version of the old SkyNews studio. With the vertical and horizontal elements. THe lighting is off. They clearly just blasted the set in light, so everything is washed out and flat.

Thats when you know something is fundamentally wrong with a news service. If you have to keep telling people "we are telling the truth". Straight out of FNC's play book. Lies disguised as news.
RT's 4pm UK time bulletin spent 10 minutes as their lead story into RT DE's ban in Germany.

Anyone know where the English-language RT broadcasts from? Watching this evening (after Putin's speech) the graphics suggest Moscow, though the presenters sound native English speakers.
They're using this desk:

which says "London" in the graphic, but the presenter just referred to someone on a dtl as "joining us from London", which suggests that it's somewhere else.

That "London" graphic is for the time...
The English language service is broadcast from Moscow, although there used to be a UK opt-out, presented by Bill Dod, which I believe was broadcast from London.
RT UK still exists, but it's for back half hour opt-outs, but as Rob correctly mentions, the news bulletins are now from Moscow throughout the day.
The rate the sanctions are going at the moment, much of Russia's income will end up coming from RT's serious weird online shop. Some genuinely bizarre items up for sale.

It's kind of amazing that Russia consider the channel in anyway valuable to their soft power. Tiny audiences and the ones that are watching are conspiracy theorists and other pariahs making absolutely no impact on society. Marvel at the propaganda while you can, its days are surely numbered in the UK now?
No worse than the ITV Shop.
