That's not a fair take for many Journalists, Presenters and Producers. I used to work as a Correspondent for Press TV Iran and I was still able to get work after I left that network.

if anyone has a motorised dish and is curious to look at the "output" then it seems RT has been put up on a russian-owned satellite - express am8 at 14 west. Seems to be easily received in the UK - it's working for me

What will be interesting is if leads to a return to Freeview, since only the SD version seems to be on there. Works around the EU sanctions though it may only be temporary until Ofcom decides to do something

Questionable enough viewers redirecting their satellite to view it for reasons other than monitoring, never mind Freeview. The BBC excuse for the government not to do anything is gone now considering BBC.com, BBC World and the radio outputs have been blocked. The question is whether the government act independently of OFCOM and take the right action or if they use the Sue Gray excuse of waiting for the report.

I don’t think I have 14w on my system I can give it a try but I’ll doubt I’ll get anything on my 90cm dish.

sure, it's not exactly one of the big three satellite positions which made me wonder if it's an attempt around the sanctions for those TV distributors either not subject to EU sanctions or not horrified enough to dump it voluntarily

I've just heard from my satellite enthusiast friends that AsiaSat has also dropped RT International, as well as its sister channels. This means RT has mostly lost its footprint in most of Asian region, unless Pay TV operators made the effort to reach ABS 2A satellite.

Says it all that they were shocked Putin followed through with his threats. It was pretty obvious for weeks it was a question of when, not if.

I bet when RT launched that new look two months ago they didn't expect to be in the situation they're in now. Didn't last long did it?

I find this interesting, but it looks like RT America has been purged on the face of YouTube. The YouTube channel and all of its videos are now blocked everywhere, except Somaliland, Kosovo and Northern Cyprus.

Don't think this is mentioned but for some reason listings for RT videos on Youtube were still visible even though the channel itself is no longer accessible, but I just checked Youtube again today and those listings have now been taken down

After posting about RT America, I've also decided to check out other RT channels... and it looks like the YouTube channels of RT, RT UK, RT France and RT DE have also been purged from the face of YouTube.

It's horrifying the level of censorship, canceling and deleting we've reached at this point. Started with COVID, when everything that was not in line with the official ''truth'' got the cancel treatment and now continues in this new crisis.

The truth is selected for us, and if you want to search for it, by using various different sources, from different sides, you are just not allowed to. That is beyond scary!
