Unfortunately, I don't think Rebecca Curran is striking the right tone for me. Quite jokey and making some unfortunate mistakes when ad-libbing. It's good to see a woman anchor but I can't help that the experience of others like Sally Magnusson is being wasted.
I think David WL is doing really well with the graphics and AR stuff. Clearly very knowledgeable about the constituencies and places to watch.

Shockingly woeful coverage of the Welsh situation on the ITV Evening News, with just a one line summary that the "Conservatives had the first victory of the day", which they did but as results have unfolded the Welsh Labour vote has been stronger than expected and they've won most the other marginals. No comparison at all of the contrast with Labour's woes in England.
Quite disappointing when ITV News has been pretty good throughout the pandemic on highlighting the situation in the nations.

James Williams hopping between BBC Wales and S4C.... Very impressive...

He'd hopped from BBC 1 Wales to S4C.

Have Huw and Kirsty had a break at all today, or have they literally be on air constantly since 9am?

Is it me or does Huw's iso shot look really darkly lit?

Not much different though to a regular General Election when they'd be on air from 10pm through till probably mid-morning. It's only in recent times they've switched the host in the morning. Presumably they get a break in London when they're with Kirsty in Scotland and vice versa.
P.S. Must say I do think the current look has given the BBC their best on screen election graphics for quite some time - simple but they work really well. Just campling Sky's coverage briefly and their graphics seem rather ugly, both on screen and on the screens in the studio.

Watched 20 mins of STV coverage before it finished at 20:30. Their on-screen counter showed IND as having 1 seat in the Scottish Parliament constituency results, which I then spent far too long searching websites to find out more about.
I can only conclude that graphic was wrong on-screen throughout as no independent candidate has won a constituency. :x

I know many were sceptical about the double-headed presentation, but I think that Huw and Kirsty have been a great team (moving easily from light-heartedness to serious analysis) and it has all been surprisingly slick. Although I could do with still fewer former advisers getting interviewed and a bit more analysis, I think that the BBC coverage has been better than previous years and they have clearly listened to criticism from GE2019 about ignoring results in favour of interviews - they've had no trouble cutting people off today!

ITV Wales currently opting out of the network with an hour long programme taking us up to News At Ten.

ITV Wales have been VERY lucky with timing tonight. The declaration for Mark Drakeford's seat looked like it might be dangerously close to 10pm (when they come off air). In the event it was called at 9:40, leaving them time to go to a break at 9:45 and when they came back they'd managed to grab Drakeford for a live interview. They must be breathing a huge sigh of relief.

From what little I've seen it all seems low key.
