I'm currently getting coverage from yesterday stitched together, so keep your eyes peeled, as I'll share it here once it's ready.

I didn't see the coverage live, but it seems like much of the coverage revolved around press conferences, interviews with eyewitnesses, and reporters on the scene. From
what I can see on NRK.no, the in-studio interviews with correspondents were very limited.
While it's true NRK's main news studio only has a standing desk, there's also a secondary studio in the newsroom which is commonly used for breaking/rolling news, and which has a seated desk. Though I don't know, it's possible that was also used at some point.

An example of how the channel looks like with the recent breaking news, with very CNN-like graphics, very OTT for German standards:

To go further: NDR’s media report ZAPP reports on the channel’s launch, including showcasing many of the channel’s new hires, like former Sat.1 and NDR Info anchor Thomas Kausch, former RTL Nachtjournal presenter Sandra Kuhn and showman Thomas Gottschalk, among others… German subtitles available.

La Sexta (Spain), Noticias, 2021. Today they debuted a wholly new set (designed in-house), graphics package (from Gédéon) and music theme (from Laplage), as well as more standing presentation. They tried to imitate TVE's Telediario, but it just looks like a poor mismash of elements. For example, in the set, the anchor desk looks like a high-end foldable backyard table. The graphics are OK, looking similar to Antena 3 Noticias (also designed by Gédéon), but the typeface, although OK for a younger-skewed newscast, clashes with the slab serif they use for their general presentation. The new theme music, however, looks out of place for a newscast, better suiting a lifestyle and/or music programme.

Bild is as toxic as Fox News is, sadly. Per se, the investigation is not new, it began in March, when a Police memo triggering an in-house investigation against him was uncovered by Der Spiegel. He was suspended shortly thereafter, with Alexandra Würzbach taking over as Editor, but he returned as joint Editor with Würzbach, focusing on the launch of the TV channel. However, in April he was asked to resign as General Director of the Bild newspaper and magazine division. Eventually, yesterday, the NY Times published an investigation from media columnist Ben Smith where a junior employee revealed allegations that he had behaved inappropriately with women, an investigation which was related to Axel Springer's acquisition of Politico from the Allbritton family.

In my opinion, this set is too big. When the anchor walked into the shot, I was surprised how small she was compared to the set. She looks somewhat lost there. And as you mentioned, the table looks very cheap.

These changes came in on the same day as Rogers Media, the owners of City, rebranded their rolling news radio stations to fit the CityNews brand.
Thank you for capturing this. I had been meaning to do it. Citytv Toronto has really fallen off. Most of their big names presenters and reporters are gone now. But I think it was smart of Rogers to combine the resources of their All News Radio Stations and the Citytv operations under one brand. Im sure its not going to be continual thing....but I was humbled by the First Nations land acknowledgements that began each broadcast in the Western Provinces. That is very special and much appreciated. Big Brother Canada opened it their previous season with that. And its frequently done in Australia as well. Too bad its still not a thing in the US.

Credit goes to Emarsee, not me. I do agree that it was a wise move to bring the TV and radio newsrooms together.

May I second you. The Rogers' Citytv is really a shell of its former self under CHUM. Forced retirements, layoffs, de-emphasizing local programming and their Great Movies blocks in favour of more American fare... But may I second you too that it was a really wise move to merge TV and radio news under the same roof. The rebranding of the All News Radio stations into CityNews (except Ottawa, which is news/talk and has had that brand since late last year) just makes evident Rogers wants to make CityNews their to-go brand for audiovisual news, like Sportsnet is for sports. It also boosts their local newscasts, which are known for its no-anchor format, but have little local content (BT, for example, outside of Toronto, is an hybrid of mostly repurposed segments from the Toronto show alongside some local/regional fare). Bell Media has also done that when reforming Noovo's news department: they leveraged their local French radio newsrooms to produce content for their regional slots, which are centrally produced and presented from Quebec City. Sadly, Canadian media cost-cutting is more radical than American or British media.
Speaking on the First Nations land acknowledgements, in Australia, SBS is the broadcaster which makes these acknowledgements the most. Most programmes, after the copyright, refer to the traditional custodians of each studio land where a programme is produced. For example, when programmes come from their Artarmon HQ (including World News), they acknowledge "SBS acknowledges Cammeraygal people of the Guringai nation as the traditional custodians of the land in which this program was created". I don't find that surprising, however, it is a much needed acknowledgement for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (and First Nation communities worldwide) as a matter of respect for the Indigenous people in a time where unjustified conducts against these specific populations are being uncovered, and awareness of the existence of the communities is increasing.
Back to the CityNews merger, here’s how the CityNews brand “took over” the legendary CFTR 680 News in Toronto Monday. In case you might have some questions, the sounders are the only thing lent over from the old All News Radio brand, which were composed by Austrian company Foster Kent, based on their reimaginings of the legendary 1010 WINS sounder (the 2010 remix and the botched 2017 attempt, they even use the same service tracks that the New York station used until the Entercom/Audacy takeover) and used since 2019 (except during the early stages of the ongoing pandemic where programming was networked, using production music from Wisebuddah’s No Sheet Music).

Mate you are a goldmine of knowledge. thanks for the background on the CityNews 680 sounder taken from the 1010 WINS audio imagining. Love that switch over in branding. Most people outside of North America dont understand how local all news stations are hugely popular and are typically the number 1 station in each market. 1010 WINS NYC, WBBM Chicago, KNX LA, 680 Toronto massive stations with huge audiences. And it never stops. Its a constant. Unless there is a major breaking story the format continues unabated....for days, weeks, months, years, decades at a time. Rogers was smart to roll the CityNews brand to 680 AM because Citytv and CItyNews has really suffered from all the draconian Rogers cutbacks since they took over Citytv after BellMedia was was forced to sell when they bought CHUMMedia and subsequently stripped the channel of its sister channels and cable networks, like CP24. THey have destroyed Citytv. Obliterated it. Its sad to see. Its like ghost house with the door flapping in the wind. Sad.
RTP3 (Portugal), 2021. Last Saturday, coinciding with their 20th anniversary of its launch as a Porto-based local news channel called NTV (which RTP bought in 2003, relaunching it one year later as a national news channel called RTPN, to compete with market leader SIC Notícias), the channel’s graphics were completely revamped. Not only RTP3’s programmes were affected, but also RTP1’s Telejornal, which debuted the changes today, and even dropping the 2016 theme music in the orchestral re-recording premiered during their 60th anniversary (RTP3 still retains their music). Additionally, Ana Lourenço (a former SIC presenter who joined RTP in 2018) is leaving RTP3’s late night news analysis programme 360º, joining José Rodrigues dos Santos and João Adelino Faria as one of Telejornal’s alternating presenters, mostly anchoring on weekends and public holidays.
