From the 23rd of February 1999 a news bulletin on Canal+ followed by a subtitled version of ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings (BTW no idea that Canal+ aired ABC World News Tonight!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtrS2MNuTUo

All versions of Canal+ aired an international news broadcast subtitled in their own languages during the 90s. Canal+ Spain also aired ABC World News Tonight, and Canal+ Poland aired BBC World broadcasts, as seen on this video:

The German Tele 5 (old incarnation) also aired World News Tonight, unsubtitled, however. It was also part of the wave of satellite broadcasts old Eastern Bloc channels aired after the fall of communism.
WINK-TV Fort Myers News opens from 1983 to today.

And from the same channel, a compilation of current news opens from Fox-owned (and one formerly owned) stations.

Interesting to note that the Fox station in Seattle kept their local branding as Q13 instead of relaunching as FOX 13.

News from Germany!
ZDF heute's redesigned studio will (very likely) go on air in about two weeks. A logo! (the german newsround) presenter confirmed this in an instagram-post.

Last Monday, TV Globo's early morning newscast, Hora Um, moved to the network's studio overlooking the São Paulo newsroom, already used by their other national newscasts based there, midday newscast Jornal Hoje and late newscast Jornal da Globo, and revealed refreshed graphics and music:

And their previous look, for comparison:

The new studio and design will go on air on July 19th
https://www.dwdl.de/nachrichten/83561/zd...es_design/

The programs will come from a smaller studio. Until then, the large studio is being renovated. What is striking is the new table. The big table is a thing of the past.
They also got a new camera robot from the UK (this one https://www.mrmoco.com/motion-control/talos/) and there will be a new set of themes. I think a smaller studio than they have now is just right.

Judging by the few images that have been released, it's going to look more grounded. Gone is the unsettling feeling of everything just floating in a vast virtual space. It will surely look more like a real set. But I'm still disappointed they went for a fully virtual design again.
Here are some more photos of how the studio will look on screen. And the new logo for "heute journal" that has a globe instead of the flat "heute" map.

I like the new graphics and studio. Still a virtual set, sadly, but an vast improvement in regards with the 2009 look. I don't understand, however, why they are sticking with the 2009 logo instead of switching to the logo used by their digital plataforms.

As part of the relaunch, Petra Gerster is retiring from anchoring duties (very well deserved, she has been one of the main presenters since the 1998 heute relaunch). She is being replaced by current mima presenter Jana Pareigis, which will co-anchor alongside Barbara Hahlweg and Christian Sievers in rotation. Pareigis will still present the mima as a substitute presenter. No changes in the heute-journal however, with Claus Kleber and Marietta Slomka still retained as anchors, and Gundula Gause and Heinz Wolf as newsreaders/editors.
Some popular songs and instrumentals had a second life as news themes:
