As far as I'm aware the usual virtual stadium set has so far only been used by BBC Sport for football - other events such as the Six Nations tend to come from other purpose built sets. The studio has been used for Bitesize though.

Starting off with the news announced last week that Sarah McInerneyand Fran McNulty are joining Miriam O'Callaghan as presenters of RTÉ Prime Time. Sarah in particular is a popular choice, after her highly praised summer presenting RTÉ Radio 1's "Today" programme. Also worth noting a new look and studio will be introduced with the new presenting line up next week.

Earlier, as posted on TVF, MSNBC soft-launched some new graphics. Haven't got any screenshots at the moment, but they've gone for a flat, less 'in-your-face' style.

Some schedule changes to BBC World News following the weekend's clock change.

A brand new slot for features at 1630 GMT/1730 UK/1830 CET with The Travel Show, Click and World Questions getting an early evening outing. [For more than ten years, this slot has traditionally been used for extended news coverage during the months Daylight Saving/Summer Time is in operation, e.g Global, The Hub, other extended news.]

In countries where the clocks have changed, Focus On Africa moves as usual one hour later.

HARDtalk moves from 1830 GMT to 2130 GMT/2230 UK/2330 CET, straight after World News America. [Last year, as Covid schedules changes took place, BBC World News simulcast 'The Papers' in this time slot. Before then, a second edition of World News America was shown in this slot.]

This means that the first edition of Asia Business Report is now an hour later for countries where the clocks have changed, but still 2230 GMT/0630 Singapore. North America continues to opt-out of this, with a replay of World News America.

BBC World News is also showing coverage of the start of the Derek Chauvin trial from 1400 GMT/1500 UK today.

As my first post on the new forum, I thought I would post about a TV / broadcast related site I started around about 18 months ago now called ICDb - the Internet Commentator Database. I've seen a few posts about it on the old place and I'd love suggestions for features and updates and the Websites section of this forum seemed as good a place as any.

The site started as an idea from the Football Commentator thread on Digitalspy to be a repository to easily lookup who commentated on a particular match rather than searching through the various Football Commentator threads on DS to find it.

Starting out with just football listings it now has over 8000 commentators and 140,000+ listings in the football start of the site alone and I've added separate sites for Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Tennis, Golf, Motorsport and Darts.

The link to the football site is https://icdb.tv/ and the other sport sites are linked at the top of that page. You need to register (for free) to add listings but can view anything on the site without registering/ logging in.

Web design (rather than coding itself) isn't really my forte so the design is quite basic but I am looking for suggestions for new features, options etc. and any pointers on improving the design of the site would also be gratefully received.

I'll post news of new sports added and other new features on this thread going forward,

Does anyone know why there was only one edition of Quest Means Business on CNN International last week and why it was replaced by a CNN US simulcast on the other days?
QMB only aired on Thursday and was presented by Hala Gorani.
Is it a technical, manning or logistical reason why the programme can be on one day and not the others in a week, when there was no big breaking news to take priority, nor any other obvious reason for the US simulcast?
Even when Richard Quest wasn't available, previously they would have still produced the programme and used a cover presenter, such as Julia Chatterley, Zain Asher, etc.

The last episode is this week, so thought I’d start a thread to continue the discussion.

For the first time since 2015, the final episode of the show will come live from the studio (last years was done over zoom).

Just a question as well, has anyone been in the virtual audience for this - what is it like? I’ve seen a behind the scenes video on it and I’m very intrigued by it all.
