We know that Outside Source - in some form of another - will be relaunched today. And we’ve caught a glimpse of the Global branding being deployed (we assume last week) in Studio C.

Could this week be the week where we see a return of some of the branded strands on BBC World News?

In the case of Outside Source, a return to Studio J (and a device of some sort) would feel necessary to render a relaunch in the full sense. A revised head-on shot and new backdrop and music whilst remaining in Studio C would be less exciting, of course.

As for Global, Impact, Live with LH, The Briefing and WorkLife.........we shall see!
I wonder if Newsday will return or what their long term plans are with the Singapore studio. Sharanjit Leyl has just left and Rico Hizon left last year, and it doesn't makes sense to keep live broadcasts out of Singapore just for a few 15 min slots of Asia Business Report per week day. I'd hope to see Newsday return to the London/Singapore split there was pre-Covid, but if Newsday doesn't return, I don't see ABR remaining for much longer.
I wonder if there are future plans for Studio B, since the studio has essentially been mothballed since the pandemic due to the lack of automated cameras.
It would appear there are still currently plans to relaunch Newsday:

Yes, Newsday will relaunch from London and Singapore.
It will be nice to see the multicoloured studios return, that’s what made bbc world news unique from bbc news domestically which is permanently lit on the main in bbc news colours.
One would hope we'll see a return of the Newsroom Live and Afternoon Live brands on the News channel too.

They were basically just a different logo though, plus AL having Nationwide

Yeah, Afternoon Live and Newsroom Live didn't really add anything to the channel and the attempts to strandify BBC News in the vein of BBC World News misunderstand the differences between the two channels. Strandifying BBC World News worked because it has never been (nor supposed to be) anything more than a succession of news bulletins - targeting those bulletins to specific audiences and attaching personalities helps make those programmes appointment-to-view and stand out in a crowded international news channel market.

BBC News, otoh, is a rolling news channel that is simply supposed to provide updates/show live coverage of what is happening. Its content is not at all appointment-to-view and it doesn't particularly need to stand out against its single competitor, as it is the default setting of most people in the event of a major news story. In fact, moving BBC News' daytime schedule away from 'BBC News' and towards these fairly generic brands is a massive watering down of the strongest brand in British news media. Not to mention the fact that, presentation wise, neither Newsroom Live or Afternoon Live were not exactly great.

Yeah, people would tune in to watch Simon McCoy, not Afternoon Live

I dare say on weekdays outside of 9am to 5pm and at weekends there might be more justification for appointment-to-view. Between 9am and 5pm those 'watching' have it on the in the background whilst doing other stuff, rather than specifically tuning in for a programme (e.g. Afternoon Live). I wonder if part of the reason for branding News Channel programmes in the daytime was due to most of the weekday morning being simulcast on BBC Two. (In my opinion it would be better if BBC Two simulcast some World News programming for part of the morning to give a bit of variety.)
I wonder how they will work ‘the papers’ when newsday relaunches. Will the presenter that is presenting newsday from London review them or will there be another presenter doing it from studio E.

I would agree with this. 0900-1700 should be rolling news, with the evenings being more structured programmes, some of which can be shared with World News. Personally, I'd also remove the simulcasts of the Six and the Ten and add a WNT-style world news programme. Given one of the big advantages that the BBC has over Sky is its far stronger international division, it is odd that they don't have a daily round-up of international news. I know that they have some shared programming with World News, but not a straight bulletin during the evening. Katty and Christian may be the closest, but it tends to be US-Europe focussed and tends towards longer segments on one story.
What is the evening schedule now?
