I didn't see the incident so can't give my own view, but there's levels between 'it's perfectly fine' and 'sexual harassment' – finding it awkward is also an acceptable way to feel.

Could not agree more. 

I’m a little limited in what I can say but it’s certainly something I would not be comfortable with and was quite surprised watching. 

We have expectations around values and that seemed quite far from the dignity in the workplace marker, to me.

I’d also add that the casting was a factor as well. Had they been joking with a much more established japester like Mike Bushell it would have sat a bit more easily. It felt much more awkward with a lesser-known reporter who doesn’t have the same personality

Exactly. Had they sent Carol there to do the weather I'm sure they'd have been encouraging her to take a dip too.

The reporter here (Andrew Plant) basically set himself up by saying he's not going in "unless you want to see me screaming on live TV", to which every live show producer would respond "yes".

I saw it and it did seem to go on a bit, especially as observed it wasn’t one of the main reporters like Bushell who would welcome a lengthy gag. Even Charlie pointed out what a strange 45 seconds it was, with the reporter begging to not be forced to jump in the water!

I’m guessing the Express or Star have done a “Naga Munchetty BULLIES reporter to STRIP off live on air in EMBARRASSING sequence” complete with an out of context picture of Naga looking threatening

The old BBC Sport set has been fully dismantled, the construction of the new Breakfast-Sport set must be about to begin.

After more than a decade in that pokey office space, Breakfast won't know what to do with all that headroom! Though, to be fair, their studio before that did have plenty of height, but the set just felt empty and cavenous - so let's hope they find a good balance between barren and cramped.

It wouldn't surprise me if they consider going remotely controlled cameras with floor tracks as per studio B in NBC, rather than having manually operated cameras. That would presumably take a reasonable amount of time to implement, and then eventually test. Given that most of the time the presenters (Breakfast and sport) are sat down I can't imagine there would be much need for manually operated cameras in the studio during Breakfast.

Also, I wonder whether it'll take up the same amount of floor space before, or whether they might try extending the area slightly towards the windows to increase the width.

To be honest the current system is mostly remote heads with the bases positioned by the floor manager and the single operator who does both the Dolphin Arm and non-remote ped.
