I think they've royally @$cked up here. That could be seen as a HR nightmare from my ancient experience of working in HR. I've already tweeted Richard Richard Frediani but haven't heard back. Surely doesn't instil confidence in those who may have applied does it? Poor show for sure.

Over reaction much?   Just like with Sally it is pretty obvious the regular stand in and temporary host would be the front runner, but nothing is finalised until it is finalised.

I don't really understand this - it's no different to the numerous people who act up in different roles in companies everywhere when the previous person who held that post is on maternity leave, ill, leaves suddenly or is absent for any other reason. That doesn't mean they have the job full-time, or indeed would want it full-time.

Rob Page is interim manager of Wales at the moment, but he's still doing everything the actual manager would be doing. The same is true here. Jon is presenting at the moment, and they wanted a picture of the current presenters, ergo he is in it. But he might not want to do it full-time. If people are going to assume the job is gone because he's in a photo, what do they make of him being on the sofa for nine hours a week?

And just to add that those images (especially the first one) look very much like DIY jobs assembled from a past photoshoot of regular presenters to reflect the current line-up. We're not talking about a group shot of all 4 together.

I really don't see an issue here. Jon's a regular stand-in anyway and most Breakfast viewers watch it for the content rather than for rota changes.

Funny you should say that, I heard a similar rumour a few years back, but dismissed it as some flight of fantasy.

I wonder now if there's actually some truth in it. I'll keep an eye out.

I don't get why the Sunday Morning news update isn't just done from the Breakfast set, especially if it requires the host to leave early by relocating to the secondary set.

And if that "Tina Turner" mistake had been made on the show they'd be dozens of clickbait articles about it - but when one of them makes such a blatant mistake themselves there is nothing.

Yes, I was wondering this the other day as well. Back when they were all at TVC it made sense as Breakfast came from the News 24/News channel studio and the summary came from TC7. And, even if they had wanted to save the presenter the walk down TVC, the Breakfast studio was otherwise in use during Marr. Since the move of Breakfast to Salford, there is no apparent reason for them leaving to another studio. There is more than enough time for the other presenters/guests to leave the studio between the end of Breakfast and start of the news summary. It would surely be easier for one of the Breakfast presenters to hang back and keep the Breakfast studio going for a few more minutes than to set up another studio purely for a few minutes.

There isn't a need for a news summary. You've just had 3hrs of Breakfast and there's rolling news on the news channel.
