Launch TalkTV
If we could please stick to discussing the output rather than the personal appearance of the on-screen talent, that would be most appreciated.

Here's the opening of Piers' show...

It's a production company owned by Piers Morgan. This may explain why they have a tv quality studio in Ealing rather than the green screen one at News UK.

Like The Five, they have a liberal panellist.

Wootton does this also, with Benjamin Butterworth amongst others.

Yes, seems a bit odd.
As seen on BBC Newswatch

I have to say it looked expensive.  The money's clearly been spent generally, but the Piers set I have to say looked fantastic.  Completely overlook the content, visually it looked a million dollars.

That 9pm update seemed too short though.

That's what they've been like on the TV version of TalkRadio the last year or so  (the radio wasn't simulcast and had their own bulletins).

Just such a disconnect with the cheap CSO sets.
If I was a liberal panellist booked to go on TalkTV, I'd feel a lot more comfortable doing that gig than on GB News where Dan Wootton talks over Benjamin Butterworth.

This is the most civilised debate on a right-wing skewed channel to date. Even The Five on Fox goes too far at times.

Those titles are pathetic.  Have to laugh at them being so "anti-woke" but then wanting people to "wake up".  Just no self awareness at all.

I understand the two phrases - "woke" and "awake" to mean different things.  Confusing I know.

It's still a better set than the GB News "IKEA Showroom" look!
I wonder if Jeremy Kyle might be Piers' stand in when the latter is on holiday?

Considering it's an international show, probably not. Kyle has some awareness in the US where he did an American version of his chat show for a year which tanked.

I think Butterworth is irritating enough to be talked over!!   The likes of Nigel Nelson and Miatta Fahnbulleh fit in a lot better.   The best panel show on GB  News is Dewbs & Co where all political persuasions get a good showing in a friendly atmosphere.   Her ratings won't be dented that Kyle's televised radio show.
Paying homage to their competitor with a broken mic on one of the contributors there.
This channel is a floparooney. Well done to Erron for giving it an American look, but the content is utterly boring
