Yes, Huw is designated as a lead for major breaking stories but his role title is Chief News Presenter (although the remuneration is very different) yet the role profile itself is there and shared across platforms. Fiona Bruce is also a Chief News Presenter but deployed in different ways.
As for Newsday, the current intention is for it to return but all programmes - yes, all - are currently subject to review. For any change, you should look to the advertising grids as these are what are 'sold' in advance

That’s a darn sight more polished than it once was actually! B3 is actually below the Bakerloo Line. It does feel rather nuclear bunker-like down there, although there is an effort to make the slightly more public bits more hospitable (with carpet and suspended ceilings).

This angles used for the first time on 30 April but it was for a pre-recorded segment.
BBC WN now running the first 15 minutes of their 05:00-06:00 BST hour leading with UK local/regional/by-elections. I'm not sure how much interest that will generate internationally.
I wonder if it would have been better to opt to E with a UK-only presenter until BBC Breakfast at 06:00. Sky seem to be managing to fill the time interviewing people and providing analysis.
