I've never seen this before. The Godly voice of Paxo at the end is a nice touch!

The weird thing is Paxo hadn’t left by then - he left a year or so after the move to NBH.

Does anyone know why outside the studio they used red lighting - I noticed that in the video of the final Breakfast from TVC.

I wonder if it is either to show that the studio is on air as a regular building feature or just done for the broadcast to symbolise that red means live?
Ben Chu is to return to the Newsnight fold, picking up the Economics brief. He was quite good at 'visual storytelling' during his last stint.
Nature is healing!! (as they say)

I am a little surprised it is going back to 22:30 as it continued at 22:45 for so long with many other aspects of BBC News (and TV in general) returning to a bit more normality earlier than Newsnight wiil do.

Was there any notable change in viewing figures between the 22:30 and 22:45 start?
Interesting that they've chosen 21 June, as that coincides with the final stage of lockdown easing in England.
I wonder if that’s when we’ll see things start to return to normal on the news channel and world as well.
Are Newsnight going to be hot seating with the World Service team that use that studio or has something else changed? I thought the timing was more due to the studio change than anything else.
Wonder if the repeat on BBC News will return, though I think they opted out of it more often than they showed it.
Newnight is coming from Pacific Quay tonight, and unlike in the past, they will be coming from 'the nine' set rather than the corner of the canteen
Newsnight - the sofa surfers of TV news.
That looks rather splendid! They should move Newsnight permanently to Glasgow.

That Nine set is very good much better anything out of NBH, even the virtual graphics look fantastic.
