Good opening titles and graphics though.
Guessing David had prerecorded the weather before the problems at plymouth happened.
The titles were good to have both, is this something they must have as a back up?! Remember when they were fitting out plymouth in 2015 and they had issues and they did a Points West & Spotlight duel programme before Justin went up and did a Special programme just for Spotlight

ITV West Country finally managed a double-headed 6pm bulletin tonight after three days of solo bulletins.
David Braine's weather map on this evening's Spotlight showed 'Abbots Langley' in four different locations in the South West. I seem to recall that something similar happened in Scotland recently, so I'm guessing that that's the default placeholder text for place names in the weather graphics?
Charlotte Gay is becoming Cornwall correspondent on ITV West Country on a full time basis covering the rest of Grace Pascoe's maternity leave. It had been alternating between other West Country reporters on a three month basis.
Abbots Langley could be the first item in a pull-down menu sorted alphabetically?
Anglia weather presenter Chris Kirk is covering at Channel for the next month after Sophia Bird left.

BBC South West did rather well to dig up an 'archive programme from 2020' that was discussing topics which are so relevant today . . . Anyone could be fooled into thinking that it was only made last Friday.

This popped up during one of the national filler packages on ITV News West Country for the East.

There could be an ideal candidate to replace Jonty to quote a post from the Harry Gration thread from just a few days ago.

Given that he resides in Gloucestershire these days with wife no.3 Emma Samms (and McCoy in turn is husband no.4 for her), it would either be BBC Points West or ITV West Country Tonight.
I'd speculate David Wood will get the gig. He's been regular cover for Jonty, but I'd love to see a Simon McCoy/Kylie Pentelow pairing which would give the bulletin some much needed character.
It seems to be that is what is lacking at the moment with the main presenters in itv regional news... character! The jobs being offered to the B team stand ins rather than looking for someone new.
I wonder if Wesley Smith could be tempted?
It reminds me of when Look North brought back the late Harry Gration to co-present with Clare Frisby, they did billboard ads etc and it gave the bulletin a much needed heritage boost of character, then with Christa they found two presenters with strong characters.
ITV regional news is becoming more generic now Fred retired from Meridian and Bob soon to retire from Central, it's going to be a lot more B team line-ups who do a perfectly adequate job with the bulletin, but viewers like the regional characters which the likes of Fred, Harry and Bob excelled at.
(I have to say the hiring of David Whiteley at Anglia goes against the grain of hiring B teamers).
