Tottenham Hotspur, England legend and football pundit Jimmy Greaves has died aged 81.

I'm so sorry to hear of his death, obviously his career happened long before he was born, but I stumbled on a recording of an episode of his self-titled talk show from 1987 on Neil Miles' youtube channel, and I liked his humour, so yeah may he RIP and my condolences to hs family and friends

RIP Jimmy Greaves, what a legend, Saint & Greavesie very much part and parcel of Saturday Afternoons at 1:10pm, yeah sad news but the two will be reunited up in the stars now.

I wasn't big into football, but I loved the chemistry between Saint and Greavsie every Saturday afternoon.
I'm sure Jimmy is saying once again to Ian "football is a funny old game"

Don't really watch football that much, but R.I.P to the legend that is Jimmy. Thoughts are with his family and friends.

A sad day indeed.
There's a retrospective doco on BT Sport Film if you're a subscriber. It's been available for a year or so which is well worth watching even if you're not a footy fan.

Saint and Greavesie was on at a time when football was not the all-conquering behemoth that it is now and that sports coverage was more balanced. Looking back now I think that Ian and Jimmy were the forerunners of the likes of Jeff Stelling, Sid Waddell and Eddie Hemmings mixing humour and analysis and for that we have them to thank.RIP Jimmy
