Ive joined this one and TV Talk Forum, however this one Ive got an email saying my account was approved but i see no forums... So guess Im using TV Talk Forum!

They may want to put up a message then, it takes 3 minutes to add forums so with the activation part of it, I just assumed it was broken

Edited my post as I misread the footer.

I am not going to sign up to the new forums but will lurk, but I must say "Pres Cafe" as a name does not roll off the tongue. And if I am being completely honest sounds somewhat pretentious.... But I await judgement.

whoever made the posts is a fan of double spaces after a full stop tho

If you stuck strictly to presentation I think you’d quickly run out of stuff to talk about considering how slow moving it is these days.

Whilst we know the site is connected to a group of well-established presentation sites, it's odd how anonymous the team behind it continues to be - the meet the team link on the site shows you that the admin team comprises of 'Administrator', 'Mod 1' and 'Mod 2'!

In fairness, it's probably not a bad thing given how unpleasant people have been towards Rob and even Asa before him.

I've been on the receiving end of lengthy and ranty emails in the past from people who believe they are above moderation in the past. I know there's less accountability, but it is a way for them to protect their team.

Agreed, I don’t think that it’s strictly presentation-only (in their introductory post they mention that sections for programmes will be added, etc) so I think generally it will be similar to here. Even if they start it pres-only, your point will soon come up and I think it will probably change in due course. From what I can deduce PresCafé seems the most similar to here and the blue place, and whilst others may want something new I think I’ll stick with what I know.

Not surprising given the people behind the forum but I think for many of us older folk whilst presentation is what bought us into this community initially as time goes on and we learned more our interest spreads to the wider aspects of the industry, such as broadcasting rights, commissioning and how TV companies work and what motivates their decisions. 

Even with the Chameleon roll out over the last year so much more of the talk has been about the rollout and the decisions behind that rather than the end product on screen.
