Hopefully this is the return of the archive, and not another forum in the mix, judging by the background.

TV Ark did have a forum back in the day!

How are they going to maintain a forum if they can't even keep their main site online? There's not even a sorry for the downtime message there right now, the site's down outright.

My main memory of TV Ark's old forum was a load of us getting abuse from Callum Precious's dad when we were all flummoxed by the gibberish posts he was making.

If they concentrated on their main site and not nonsense like emulating teletext and now a forum, their site might be relevant

I get a "TV Ark refreshing- please stand by" message. Possibly the reason the site's down is because they're reconfiguring things for this new forum?

That wasn't there when I posted before, I was getting a "refusing to connect" error message.

And now it’s back to the placeholder landing page. Hoping for news soon, it will be sooner than expected to get an answer from them. We know it has been five months since the site suffered that catastrophic server failure, but we need to get patient and wait for it.

I took it with a pinch of salt when I noticed that background. I've always jumped to defend TV Ark whenever it's supposed irrelevance is raised, but I do wish they read the room before hinting at this. We already have a big handful of forums on the horizon, and it's not a coincidence that they've all come about as a result of TVLF's closure. I don't know why throwing another alternative into the mix would be seen as a good idea.

Unless TV Ark has been working on this for a while, in which case I take back everything I said.

I really don't see how TV ark could hope to maintain a forum, given it was already offline for over a year or maybe more a while back, and went down again this year. It would be wise to focus on the main site. Not to mention the reluctance to use off the shelf systems which must surely add to the site issues.
