Getting back on topic any ratings for last night. Would be interesting to see how that 6pm hour broke down and whether there was a rise after the fainting incident as word spread on social media?
I assume it was also streamed by The Sun.

Alas, I fully expect that there were far more viewers tuned in to see the looping 'sorry for the break in this programme' slide in the immediate aftermath of Kate's fainting than there was watching the debate's (uneventful) first half hour.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."

It kept showing as "Private Video". I was watching on my phone while enjoying my pasta. Had to get up and put on an television and actually FIND the channel... (can you imagine how I felt having to do ALL this work as a 29-year old).

I've spent hours and hours in A&E and on bedside hospital visits for both of my parents, and my mother-in-law after they all suffered (multiple) falling events.
Kate has tweeted to say she is ok and back on tonight presenting The News Desk.

No - very professionally considering the screams from a relative, they managed to carry on whilst the lady was helped outside for medical attention.

An average of 141,000 people tuned in, which is double Piers Morgan’s usual figure for his slot. The debate peaked with 183,000 viewers tuning in shortly after starting. Even so, BBC News, Sky News and GB News all recorded a greater audience than TalkTV did across the whole of primetime, according to the overnight data. Disappointing for the station which is reportedly on the verge of rejigging its primetime schedule… Although the debate last night was broadcast from Piers’s Ealing studio, the media advisers of both Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss were adamant they did not want Piers Morgan to host the show. The honour went to Harry Cole and Kate McCann, however Harry dropped out on the morning with Covid. Given Tom Newton Dunn was on holiday the pressure was now entirely on Kate McCann. There was no back-up plan for her… Richard Wallace, a former tabloid editor who worked on The X Factor, is reportedly revamping TalkTV’s line-up. It is also rumoured that Jeremy Kyle could be shifted to the 7pm slot with Tom Newton-Dunn’s News Desk show moved to after Piers Morgan Unwatched. Rather than the current video-of-a-radio-presenter format this would be a real TV show. Jeremy Kyle’s former daytime ITV show used to garner a million viewers before it was cancelled. The 'no Plan B' inquest all seems a little bit extreme, considering Kate doing the debate solo was basically a 'Plan B' because Harry Cole had pulled out less than 12 hours before the start time. How many back up presenters should they have around?!
Also interesting that Jeremy Kyle could end up in the 7pm slot to build an audience for Piers. Good to see The News Desk is being shifted around and not ditched though, as it is a solid product. But i'd worry JK will struggle to generate a sizeable audience at 7pm too, as they're basically starting cold if people aren't interested in the 'Radio on TV' daytime output. Maybe it's the pre-7pm stuff being interesting on TV they need to be building on.... (and of course how much of a draw is Jeremy considering until recently he was on 4-7pm and wasn't exactly gifting The News Desk a sizeable audience!)

Great to see Kate presenting The News Desk tonight. Big fan of hers and she’s already addressed the elephant in the room (ie last night).
If I was addressing the schedule, I’d run TND from earlier (say 5pm onwards).

It could work well in a rolling format from 5-7pm then as a flagship bulletin at 9pm, with the talk shows at 7/8/10. Fleshes out the TV element to 6 hours.
