But there's people on here who clearly watch it knowing full well they're going to dislike it.
The only analogy I can think of is a right-thinking person like Dan Wootton tuning into James O' Brien on LBC and then constantly moaning on DigitalSpy about how awful and biased to the left he is.

I stopped watching GB News months ago bar flicking over to see Farage interviewing Liam Fox after Boris's resignation. I've never been a fan of opinion-led topical formats anyway, so once the initial furore over the technical problems left, there's not much else there for me to actually watch.
For those who don't like their politics, then it's pretty easy to avoid and it doesn't have that much influence unlike Fox News with the Republican Party.

I think it’s legitimate to ask the question whether if they are inline with Ofcom’s impartiality rules, to be fair. And I guess the more they can get through Ofcom the further they will dare to push it.
I don’t see how Wootton constantly gets away with referring to Sunak as fishy, which to me seems one step away from referring to him as dodgy and more importantly I don’t see how they begin to balance that out.
I should add it’s not a complaint either, just interested in how flexible these impartiality rules can be and what point do Ofcom decide the channel isn’t balanced enough.

Just to clarify something - I have only started to watch a little bit of GB News since Boris Johnson announced his resignation, as I felt this would trigger Dan Wootton.
I am not slagging off all of GB News, some hosts on there are very good, balanced and reasonable. My problem is with Dan Wootton.
His show seems to be the complete opposite to what it says in the strap line of no spin, no bias, where clearly there is bias, especially with his mud slinging of Rishi Sunak.
I have no problem at all with right leaning or left leaning hosts. The problem I have is the lie of "No Bias" - clearly there is bias, and how does Ofcom not tell them to get rid of that slogan.
You only have to watch Dan's digest at the start of the show, to see a concerted effort by him to smear and throw as much dirt to Rishi Sunak, which smells to me of a smear campaign by a host on GB News.
This is all I am concerned about - the rest of GB News I rarely ever watch, and again, I have only started to watch GB News since Johnson announced his resignation.

Yes, we have free speech, but we also have rules regarding impartiality and what’s appropriate for a news program.
I honestly try to actively avoid GB News, but from the odd clip I see it’s clearly aiming for a certain audience and probably serves that audience pretty well, but let’s not be under the illusion that it is ‘news’ or in any way comparable to the quality of the BBC/ITN/Sky’s output.
The problem is some people seem to think "free speech" means freedom from critisism and consequence- which it doesn't.

Agreed. I think the problem here though, and I agree with the people who say this, is that people carp on about the content of GB News knowing exactly what it is. It's like buying a magazine you don't like every month and taking to the internet to tell everyone about how much you object to it.
I like C4 News and BBC News. I often disagree with the editorial positions they take but I still watch and value them. I don't object to their existence. I don't feel the need to point out occasions where they seem partial to everyone. People have got eyes and they can see for themselves. And, they, just like GB News, conform to all broadcasting guidelines.
Before you (not you specially, James2001 - I mean "you" in the general sense) decide to make a post criticising GB News, ask yourself whether your proposed input adds to the debate? Is it about TV presentation? If it doesn't, take it to MP247 or Twitter.

Exactly. I don't want to name names on here but what isn't in dispute is the fact that there's posters whose political positions are well known who still watch, knowing full well what to expect.
So in order to make this fair let's say, hypothetically, that James O' Brien, Owen Jones and Stormzy post on here.
Anyone who knows those these men and their politics also know full well they ain't gonna like GB News. They themselves already know they aren't gonna like GB News.
But they watch anyway, obsessively so, and then come on the forum to tell everyone how much they hate it.
For me, that's unhealthy. It's not Ofcom that can help these people, it's Offknob.

Back to presentation discussion then… does anyone know why Farage & now Mark Steyn are the only shows to come from the Westminster studio? Surely a lot of their other shows would look better coming from there?

In all honesty, they should move in to Westminster for the shows running from 6am-8pm, leaving Paddington for news gathering, Dan Wootton's late show, Headliners and some of the weekend output.
