The catwalk section of the studio was lit in blue just now for a report on neutron stars - must be the first time it's been lit in a colour other than white and red.

At least that avoids a repeat incident like
the ferocious debate over whether the light boxes in Studio E can change colour…!

I still recall finding the construction images that proved that they could change colour in an old folder the day after moderators had ordered discussion to cease (on penalty of suspension no less). Was torn whether posting the proof would have been in contravention of the order, so decided against it.

It's been confirmed on screen and also by those in the know that the light boxes above and below the catwalk screens in E can change colour. That image above hasn't been photoshopped. It would be rather difficult to achieve the right effect.

It's always hard to judge online, but I got the impression that neonemesis was joking.
I don't believe there are any forumers who still seriously believe the lightboxes couldn't change colour, certainly not after Newsnight's stay in E.

The nations and regions were in a different order last night. Peter Levy wasn’t in the bottom right corner.
