I am guessing the bbc have very nice air conditioned studios and galleries they seem to have all stayed on air despite the heatwave.

Shaun was a refreshing watch this afternoon with all the breaking news that was going on with the hot temperatures and the Conservative leadership vote.
He was particularly nice to Nick Eardley, commending him for his work recently and how he totally respected his decision not to wear a jacket given how hot it was inside the House of Commons, even asked him if he wanted us to come back to him whilst he took his tie off if he wanted. He also asked Nick if he could try and grab Nick Randall MP for an interview as he always gives an ‘entertaining point of view’. And he also wished Nick Eardley a happy and well-deserved day off tomorrow! And as a post mentioned above, he took great time to explain to viewers what was happening today and how their reporters wellbeing was their number 1 priority, no matter what the news might be.
Sticking with the News Channel this afternoon was my longest exposure to Shaun, and I very much enjoyed it. He even got his trademark sneeze in before the Conservative vote.
I echo the sentiments above. Shaun is a real pro. I really hope he's with whatever the News Channel becomes next year for a very long time to come.

I’ve noticed the News At One has seemed to overrun lately, the regional news begins at 1:32 or 1:33 rather than 1:30

It's been like that for quite a while now. Possibly since the pandemic.
Is that not the result of switching back the time to the late. Pre 2020 lunchtime was nearly 15mins. Then a longer later news was introduced but took time away from lunchtime and extended national.
<t>I may not contribute much, but I will, where I can.</t>
Yes, the lunchtime is 9’30 now but it’s still scheduled 1.30-1.45.
You’re right that they took time from lunch and added to late but of course the late is now shorter again (7’ ish).
Couple of times I've caught the 1 recently and they don't seem to introduce it as the 'BBC News at One' anymore? Just "Good afternoon" and straight into the first story.
Why is Reeta in Derby tonight. I missed the start so I didn’t see what the significance was

Isn't that what reporters are for?

Bbc news channel taking world news America at 10pm rather than news at 10? What’s that about?
