BBC Four are currently showing the final part of "Thatcher: A Very British Revolution", which was about similar circumstances.

I wonder if this was just coincidental or a rapid change of schedule?

No, it was scheduled.
The combination of helicopters overhead and protesters at the other end of Downing Street is making it pretty difficult to hear Julie Etchingham and Paul Brand on NAT right now
Yes, there is a lot to be said for the safety of the studio.
@Brekkietweets
Could hear Julie ok but couldn’t hear Paul Brand at all, but see Julie now has a different mic on next to head mouth so hopefully that will be better
Huw Edwards and Chris Mason are been similarly drowned out by the protestors on the BBC News at Ten.
Any party that commits to banning vox pops on news channels and bulletins would instantly get my vote.

“We’ve heard what Parliament thinks, but what do voters think? We’ve sent our North of England reporter Judith Moritz to Barnsley Indoor Market or possibly a Bingo Hall in Bury to find out”

At least the ones on the national are generally fairly well done and have a bit of decent production, on the regional news I’m sure they ask the first 4 people they come across in the street what they think, and however uninformed they are on the issue being asked about, they keep them all in
Thought Peston might be live tonight as they didn't stream the 9pm record on Twitter as usual (just streaming the 'live' TV feed at the moment) but it doesn't seem to be as there has been no mention of Michael Gove

One thing that has annoyed me for years is TV reporters standing in Downing Street shouting out questions to Ministers as they walk towards the door of No.10.

They know that nobody will ever answer them, so it comes across as rather pointless if it's just for the people watching their particular channel. It doesn't look or sound very professional.

They only do it to massage their own ego

I notice when the transport Secretary arrived behind Huw on the ‘Five’ earlier this evening, Huw didn’t lower himself to such nonsense and just let him arrive
Bet Peston will be pleased about getting a double whammy from Suella Braverman tonight.
<r>From TV Forum but with an extra bit of LIVE in the middle. <E>Big Grin</E></r>

It must be live as they've just mentioned Gove!
Plus there is no way if it wasn’t live the contents of the interview with Suella Braverman would not have leaked out before hand even if not streamed live.
I saw the Six on WN and if the resignations keep going to they’re going to have to start a list and drop the pictures akin to how Rachel Maddow did with the over 50 Trump resignations.. It got to be so many that they eventually took up two walls.

I would try it but it’s unusually windy up north again.

I still haven’t found that channel I’d love to see how focus on Africa looks like away from studio c.

I’ll look we have an Africa Channel in the US and the Bahamas and Focus on Africa airs at 7:30.
