Makes sense given the story, plus they take Politics Live for PMQs now rather than doing their own thing.

What really annoys me with their live rolling news blog is you'll get a headline but then have to scroll through yourself to find the related story.   They should at least link the key posts at the top of the page as some other news sites do.

The BBC is like a comfy blanket in a crisis.  Stick on the BBC, make a cup of tea, it'll eventually be OK.

Yes I gave this as feedback to SkyNews a while back and they soon created that. I'm not taking credit but find it a coincidence a week later it was in use.

No surprise that both of tonight's BBC news bulletins have been given an extra ten minutes.

Could be some tricky scheduling decisions to make if there are significant developments tonight, with the women's Euros starting and of course Wimbledon continuing.

I think at least one of main courts at Wimbledon will be over by 8pm (the first match on centre looks like it will be over in a couple of minutes time) so if BBC1 is needed for news the Euros can go BBC2 and Wimbledon to the red button

True. I think through with no British interest tonight Wimbledon could remain I player/ red button only. If it was Norrie playing I could have seen them using BBC 4.

Could be an interesting evening news wise. The 1922 Committee meet at 4, meanwhile more ministers are resigning than anyone ever realised there were ministers! It's moving very fast

The only real precedent for this sort of crisis is Maggie in 1990. Of course on that day, both the BBC and ITN went into rolling news mode; IIRC Thatcher resigned on a Thursday and at the time PMQs was a twice weekly affair, so the networks took the coverage.

The football will switch to BBC Two at 10pm to allow the Ten to start on time.

The logical option if something kicks off is to do a newsflash at half time and signpost to the NC.

I personally don't think we'll see a resignation until the morning, however.
