All regional news presenters introduce themselves before the titles now too
Screen technology has really come on hasn’t it I don’t think anyone can actually believe just how real this set is but it really is, are we sure these screens are 4K maybe they are 8k ones?
I still can't believe none of it is AR / VR. Absolutely amazing.
I notice that there are 'studio doors' at the top of the staircase (which is a nice touch imo). They must be fake right? Or was there always a functional mezzanine that we just never saw behind the original set?

I like the idea of correspondents having to crouch at the top of the stairs until they get their cue to come on down.

Would love to get a full tech spec rundown... and the floorplans too like with did when GMP launched!
I disagree with the complaints about the lighting. I think it's just perfect. I always thought the previous set and lighting in Studio B were really awful. Not a single shot in that studio was lit correctly. This is a much, much better use of space, it's well-lit, and it looks great for its new use as the studio for the flagship broadcast.
The cameras on rails still seem a little weird and unnecessary, but it seems like they line up pretty well with the false balcony on wide shots so that they almost just look like columns.
It was indeed a great launch of the studio.
But please, lets not get too engrossed in it, simply because I think the BBC have a way to go yet in terms of building credibility back with the public and indeed licence payers.
It's a fabulous set, however I can't see all that fancy waltzing around walking over tram-tracks will last beyond this week.
