Launch BBC News: Studio B

The BBC’s way of showing a north south divide some very awful old studios and some very modern ones.
All of those regions and not one wave from any of them! It's very Eurovision, that.
They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines
That "News Night" and regions thing was pretty nice ...
After that going back to C’s (by comparison) more basic camera view of the newsroom feels a bit of a downgrade
Wonder how exposed some of those regional presenters feel making it into the nationals!

Don't tell me that how they'll do it every night? It's a nice thing for an anniversary of something, but it's just too gimmicky to be a regular thing.

Perhaps noone told them they were on air!

I'm sure we'll see some actual incidences of studios not knowing they were live in future no doubt

It sounds like it's regular.
I quite like the screen with all the nations and regions on at the end, but couldn't help that think once they axe Look East Cambridge and South Today Oxford later this year they're not going to have a number of regions that fits neatly on the screen!

“Evening Huw, Spotlight calling. Thanks for the great show!”
The studio is nice but there's a lot of that TV news revamp gimmickry like the region handover thing that'll be around for about a month before it becomes too much hassle (see also: Good Morning Britain)

You can tell how washed out Look North Leeds is from here!

It’ll be better when the regions are in HD so I can see that regions throw actually in HD

I suppose they could put Newsnight and Sport on the main grid as well.

A little nod from Riz though, I think!

Why is the News Channel in C not E? Or was E on standby in case B failed?

I bet the News Channel felt a bit left out though!

Or just do it so that there are 4 columns across 4 rows and no need to include Sport/The Papers or NewsNight.
