Launch BBC News: Studio B
A lot of it does look virtual even though it isn’t. I think it’s the very bright whites and reds in the background.

More personality led, more conversational in tone, I think I’ve seen that at 10pm somewhere else.

I wonder if all this will encourage Huw to stay on, as wasn’t he rumoured to be thinking about standing down, probably due to having presented the bulletin in E in exactly the same way for a decade

It does seem bright and the top floor seems a bit too dark.
I think the weakest bit was Huw straining to look at Katya Adler. The screen is too far behind him for him to see it…

Nearly 2 decades. The format of this bulletin has been about the same since 1993.
That's three decades, not two.

Regional opts
Love the ‘gallery’ view of all the regions!
The ending with the regions is a tad tacky
I love that multi screen of every regional studio at the end, it’s a great use of that large curved screen

I meant Huw has been presenting for two decades. The format has been the same for three decades.
That ending there with the regional teams was both TV Live bait and in a different way ‘Daily Mail/Defund The BBC’ bait.
Not sure it was entirely necessary but it made me chuckle.

I dare say that won’t last the week let alone the month or year
Ah nice to be able to rest my eyes on Newsnight

That angle felt a bit like the one Charlie Stayt has to put up with
Nice touch with that region gallery...really trying to show off the bells and whistles

It was less awkward than I thought it might be.
