I like the change whereby someone stands behind Huw and whispers cues in his ear, so he doesn't need to wear an earpiece. Very 2022.   

Seriously though, looking forward to a) the nationals having their own studio again and b) the new set itself.

I'm fairly sure that someone would have mentioned if they'd suddenly dug a very deep pit and relocated the newsroom and galleries to three floors lower.

There's more options than live or fake though... the newsroom background in Tunbridge Wells is a fake one - it's totally created by a graphic designer. It is possible to have a real background that's not live!

Not that I actually know what it is.

Yes, as mentioned a few pages back, it starts with the 10. As I understand it Studio B will only be used for the 6 and 10

Or that the News at One is a de facto News Channel production rather than a separate production with its own gallery team. This might change when NC and WN merge, but until then it doesn't make sense to have an extra gallery team in the building for one half-hour programme.

I don't know why they would axe the News at One - it would save very little money, while requiring BBC One to find 45 minutes more content (with the additional costs that would entail). Most of the costs of the News at One are tied up with the wider news organisation, very little of BBC News' budgets (or even the network news budgets) are One specific.

Has it been made to look like Studio E but using the screens ? Let’s hope they don’t use those fake newsroom backgrounds like on C which has made Studio C look truely awful.

If the new B is just as automated as E then why can’t the team who produce the One produce it from B? I’m not saying using it to the extent that the Six and Ten will, but at least BBC One viewers would always get the same studio then.

I’ve been patiently waiting for this day for many months, and I’m excited to see the start of the new era of BBC News. (I’m not really counting the new blocks) From what we’ve heard, Studio B sounds like a great evolution of Studio E, but will be original in its own way.

If the new B is just as automated as E then why can’t the team who produce the One produce it from B? I’m not saying using it to the extent that the Six and Ten will, but at least BBC One viewers would always get the same studio then.

Because, AFAIK, the One uses the duty NC gallery team while the Six and Ten have their own gallery crew who switch in and out for the bulletins only. Without an additional gallery team being added solely for the One, the duty NC gallery team would, at some point, have to relocate from E's gallery to B's gallery (which are on different floors) in a matter of minutes. As I said, maybe this will change when NC and WN merge, but it just isn't practical at the minute.

That's matter of time when News at One moved to B. But, the BBC need to appoint crews who desire to become a team that handle their own duty gallery, including at least permanent presenters for news at One who not regularly concurrently doing NC or WN duty except for breaking news or special events.

I was under the impression that any gallery could control any Studio?
