I don’t recall this. I think that was generally because he didn't have much of a buffer in between his Sky gig and his This Morning start time. So if there was a slight delay it would cause problems. However in this instance there had been a fatal crash which closed the A4.

What a breath of fresh air Vernon & Josie are!!

It’s Craig Doyle and Alison hosting the show today.
First time I’ve seen Craig front a show (That’s not sport) in this country for years. I’m aware he had been hosting the competition segments.

Quite rare for them now to even bring in a male relief presenter - they've been quite happy to have two of the regular stand in females host one-off shows at least over the last year or two.
I guess Holly will be off next week for The Games too.

This Morning 'fans' can't make up their minds. First they want Alison and Dermot to be kept on permanently, then Josie and Vernon now they want Craig to be made a permanent!

It was about time This Morning tried out some new male talent.
For years the only viable replacement for Philip was Ben Shephard (asides from Eamonn who had his own commitments). Now there’s three viable replacements for Philip in Dermot, Vernon and Craig should he be off sick or when the time comes for him to depart the show completely (which given it’s his 20th anniversary soon complete with his 40th TV anniversary and 60th birthday, might not be far off - who knows!). If anything they need to re-look at the female talent they have to hand for the eventuality of when Holly departs too. As really it’s only Alison, Josie and Rochelle, and only the latter could IMO triumph at being a straight like-for-like replacement for Holly.

Phil's going to be hard to replace because he's been there 20 years and now associated with This Morning as Richard and Judy.

This Morning is live from Buckingham Palace tomorrow!

Have they lost the feed - seems to be Alison on her own in the studio now.

They are on their way back from Buckingham Palace now so this appears to be the plan.
